The apartment is so bright and absolutely adorable.  Great lighting in the bedrooms and kitchen.  After staying in hotels, this felt like a breath of fresh air.  It's very easy to get into the center of town from here.  You can just walk 10 minutes down the hill, or take the bus and the next stop you're in town.  The bus stop is just 1 minute walk outside the building.  The bus station is called "Vidblicksgatan".  Buy your bus tickets at the train station first though, because there is no way to purchase bus tickets on the bus.

Upon first arrival our apartment seemed unwelcoming. The entrance, stairs and lift areas are drab, and there is no welcoming pack from the owners. Some milk at least would have been a nice touch. Over the 4 nights we stayed though the place grew on us. It's well situated on the number 18 bus route. The co-op supermarket some 12 minutes walk away is a good option for stocking up on groceries. There's also a really good greengrocers and baker's nearby to the co-op. Also tram number 7 stops just by there at Kappellstatsen and that's another good option for getting to the centre of you don't fancy the walk. It's definitely worth buying a multi day transport ticket for use on trams, buses and some boats during your stay. 190 SEK buys 72 hours whereas one journey on pay as you go is 30 SEK. Back to the apartment and whilst most amenities were fine the lack of a dryer within the apartment itself (apparently there is access to one in the building), plus the tiny shower room and the poor choice of TV channels were down points. But self catering in Sweden is a great option given the ridiculous cost of living and without doubt VR40 offers great value for money despite those initial reservations.

Spacious, modern and well presented apartment in a convenient, quiet location close to town centre.  There's a bus stop just outside which gets you into the centre in around 5-10 minutes.  It's definitely worth downloading Gothenburg's travel app which gives you real time travel options around town and works brilliantly.  There's a little convenience shop by the bus stop to buy basics.   There were a few maintenance issues that could have been sorted - socket hanging off wall, light bulb needing replacing, etc but on the whole, I would recommend this apartment.  Didn't see any staff at all during our stay, even though the on-site office is allegedly open during the day.  Didn't really matter as the key system works perfectly.  However, it may not suit travellers who prefer a more personal touch.

Spacious, modern apartment in convenient, quiet location.

LOVED this place!

Apartment itself was great. However, the floors are so thin that tou can hear everything from above. People having parties and shouting, stomping. We tried calling the number provided many times but it goes straight to voicemail. Beware if staying here.
