Very friendly and personal to us, we arrived with our 7-years-old son. The hotel is situated near the railway station, but we did not hear any noise. The room was clean full furnished with the fridge. Large comfortable bed and fine breakfast. Good service for regular price.

Comfortable sleeping

The room was huge compared to other hotels we stayed in on this trip. Bed was comfortable but after that it was all very basic. Breakfast options limited and other than free WiFi I don't think there was anything else on offer. Main doors are locked circa 6pm and the only member of staff on duty goes homes so not sure what you are meant to do if you plan on arriving late.

Car parking right opposite the hotel but was very off putting when driving round it to see the amount of glass on the floor of the car park where windows had obviously been smashed in. Thankfully nothing happened to our rental car!

If back in the area I more than likely would not stay there again and would look for something more in the town rather than the 10 minute walk to/from.

Huge room but very average facilities

I checked the hotel price on internet booking sites, then called the hotel to ask if they would honor the low price on the net if I booked directly. They confirmed they would, and took my name and other details.
Upon checkin, I was presented with a room rate which was 30% higher than the agreed price, and was told that I must have misunderstood the internet price. I could pay the price they demanded, or find another hotel.
Once up in the room, I went online only to find that I had NOT misunderstood the price, and that I had simply been cheated.

Dishonet booking personnel

The overall impression is cheap. In my room, the carpet was stained, there was a cigarette burn on the duvet cover, the curtain was slightly ripped etc, etc. 
The male receptionist that worked on the afternoon of our arrival was unhelpful and rude. 
The buffet breakfast was ok but fairly modest.
Overall it would have been ok if they had marketed themselves as a budget hotel. However, it is far too expensive as this is not even close to a being a business hotel.
