Excellent B&B! The owners were very nice and helpful and they made us feel at home! The house was wonderful, with a fantastic design and comfort. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms, although shared, were very clean!
The breakfast was fantastic (with the best fresh baked bread I had in a lot of time!) and varied!
Nothing negative to point here, really!! Recommended indeed!

We were so impressed with Gavlebukten B and B. As soon as you enter (maybe, like us, weary from travelling) you feel at home. This is a stylish, comfortable and relaxed place to stay in a quiet area. Everything is tasteful and immaculate. The wifi works, the TV has UK channels, there is a kitchen where you can make coffee and tea and eat your own food (fridge provided too). The rooms are comfortable. What more could you ask? I think this would be a wonderful place to spend a first night in Sweden (although it was our last) - it's only an hour and half from Arlanda airport.

The one thing I would do differently with the wisdom of hindsight is I would not eat the night before so that I could do real justice to one of the most delicious breakfast buffets I have ever encountered. You want room for the lovely fruit salad, the homemade muesli, the selection of freshly homemade breads, the home made jams, the crispbreads, the range of pickles herrings, the choice of cold meats and cheese and then to be able to accept the offer of fresh boiled eggs. Make sure you have time and space for all that!

I have spent several nights on Gavlebukten B&B. Good rooms and good beds. The breakfast is excellent. The area (outdoors!) is fine for walks and biking. The price is rather low - so the showers and toilets are shared. All is  clean and nice.

There are new owners. The house is under renovation. There are fewer fishes on the walls now. But still I had fine picture of a pikeperch (gös) in my room.

Important is the change of the name to Villa Holmsundsallén. The new owner gave a very good impression!

There was a slight misunderstanding when I arrived a little before 22.00, which was the time I had mentioned when booking. I think that the landlady/lord had a problem with someone and they thought that I was that someone. We sorted that out in a couple of seconds and sat down for a chat about just about anything from lake Vättern to Canada with psychosomatic reactions to electric fields in-between. 
The room was OK, but shower is in the corridor. OK for an early bird like me, but may be kind of awkward for a family. Anyhow, cost is quite low and compensates for that slight inconvenience.
So does the breakfast. It is being served on a tray with your room number and coffee/tea plus cereals, fruit juices, yoghurt and other "kick-starters" are plentiful in fridge and table. 
The whole operation is based on you doing your share of the work and I tried as good as I could. But, with the strict "garbage rules" of today, it isn't easy to get it all right. And what to do with the bed linen? I must confess that I left that for the better informed instead of trying to decide what to put in which bin.

Amazing quality accommodation with knock-out breakfast

I stayed there with my girlfriend for 1 night. The owners are friendly.
The room was clean, we received bed linen. Bathrooms and toilets are shared but were clean as well. At the moment they have constructions going on in the house, which did not bother us. Price was OK, so we had actually everything we need. So why only 3 stars? We were in many great places in Sweden for the same money and that one was not as nice in comparison. But you can stay there without hesitation if you are just looking for a place to sleep.
