this is one of the most unique places we ever visited: starting with the overwhelming hospitality of johan and marcel, enjyoing the faboulous dinner prepared by marcel, drinking your evening coffee /tea / ... in the outlook window facing the sea, the freshly prepared breakfast - fabiolous! the rooms and the whole building are filled with design and fancy items from antique stores and flew markets. we enjoyed all of this, and also the common breakfast and also dinner (in case you book it) with the other guests.

We had the great opportunity to be invited to Lådfabriken for a birthday party. The place is so unique. It is like spending time in someone’s fantastic and superbly designed home. Johan greeted us like a friend at the door. He and Marcel were always around, working with stuff and attending to our needs simultaneously. The place as a very refined yet extremely relaxed wine to it. 
We had a fantastic shell fish dinner with the most exquisite cray fish, crabs and shrimps. The best and the freshest I have ever tasted.  The breakfast was an experience in itself. Thank you for a wonderful and surprising stay.

Such a cool and friendly place

ere comes a gushing and genuine review. What an incredible place, Johan and Marcel are the best hosts you could wish for. They are warm and welcoming, the love and care they put into their place is evident in every detail. The decor is fabulous, Marcels food is amazing, they are easy going, relaxed and really great fun. We arrived with an injured dog who had just been prescribed total rest and strictly no exercise. They insisted it was no trouble to keep him with them while we went in our day time adventures and it was like we’d checked him into a wellness retreat. We even started to worry he’d apply to stay permanently. The location is just as fabulous with stunning scenery. The walk to the beach through Johan’s luscious garden is so colourful and incredibly fragrant. The beach is hauntingly beautiful with a very magical light. So many wonderful day trips to have: kayaking, hiking and biking. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there, it was a complete unanimous thumbs up from us, the teenagers and the dog. We feel very privileged for such a treat.

Perfect place on the west coast

He had a lovely stay at Lådfabriken, which is situated right by the water on Orust. With plenty of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding nature and water, we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again! The B&B itself is a unique building colorfully decorated, and offers beautiful views of the seascape.

Lovely seaside B&B

We had a great stay at this B&B. Not enough superlatives to describe it! The hosts are super-welcoming and friendly, and you have a real sense that they care for their guests. The breakfast and dinner were the best we have had in Sweden, with the freshest of ingredients. Finally the accommodation was appealing, interesting and comfortable, with a short walk down the garden to the sea. We loved our stay and were sorry to move on - thanks Johann and Marcel for looking after us!

Gorgeous Stay

Ladfabriken is absolutely wonderful. So unique.  The owners are fabulous hosts! The house is lovely and the food was outstanding.

Lådfabriken B&B is a true gem situated directly seaside at Orust island on the Swedish west coast. Obviously, staying seaside in the Swedish summer with the fantastic weather, clean sea water and bright evenings is a fantastic experience. But I would recommend coming in the off season. Since Orust is a summer destination, most restaurants and tourist establishments are closed. So this B&B turns in to a very personal half board. Hosts Johan and Marcel will offer you a fantastic three course dinner based on locally sourced fish and seafood, complemented by locally produced vegetables. You will also have a full wine list to make this a perfect culinary experience. 
As said by other reviewers, Lådfabriken is in every little detail an experience in design. The rooms are individually designed, and you get linen, towels and bathrobe to match. And just strolling around you find a million of details to explore. A little bit like walking through an exhibition.
Finally, your hosts Johan and Marcelwill look after you in every way you want – guide you, help you, serve you, or leave you in total peace to do what you want. I borrowed one of their dogs to keep me company for my afternoon walk in a beautiful Bohuslän winterland.

One in a million

Arriving at Lådfabriken to the sunset in the ocean a Friday evening was magic. And the B&B - such an inspiring, colourful and happy place - with a totally unique atmosphere and personal service at a level I have never experienced before. Lovely food and breakfast and we will definitively come back. Thank you!

The best B&B I have ever been to

We stayed at Lådfabriken with my husband in the end of August and really enjoyed this unique place and the hospitality. Johan and Marcel are the globetrotters who know how to create a place that sits well in this small village with all elements of a boutique hotel and forces you to just relax! We enjoyed also a delicious dinner (remember to book before hand), had relaxing time just wondering around the beach and enjoying the beautiful house. Lådfabriken is a place where every detail is thought through and you can just relax and enjoy the West cost feel.

The area is beautiful and Lådfabriken is very special!

If paradise is made of white clouds floating in the sky, I much prefer staying at cosy and colourful Ladfabriken B&B  :)
The architecture of the building is superb, with each room decorated differently with plenty of nice objects as a tribute to modern design and pop culture.
It's a wonderful place to meet people, starting with Marcel and Johan which are so friendly and caring for their hosts. It's also a great place for visiting the superb Bohuslän coast and traditional villages, or simply relaxing in the big or small living rooms or the superb garden.
We stayed 3 nignts and had diner at the Ladfabriken every evening, as the fresh fished were so superbly cooked by Marcel. The breakfast was also hearty, colourful and delicious! We'll be back soon  :)
