nature beyond good
Hike trails outside are amazing 
this is a place where you find the west coast most beautiful archipelago.
And the best hiking trail run ever - Icebug exactly experience! 
The world have few places this nice.
The staff is amazing and breakfast is hard to find better!
Good with shower and washing.

The Icebug West Coast Trail 2019 was held at this campsite, and it was an ideal location for the event. We had a cabin facing the sea, and the view was magnificent. The natural surroundings were beautiful & serene, and despite the buzz of the event from the participants living in the same campsite, the place was generally quiet and we had moments to sit on the rocks facing the sea, watch the sun rise and just be...in silent meditation. Even if there was no event going on, this campsite is ideal for a retreat - being surrounded by nature, beautiful trails by the sea, and served by an excellent team at the campsite.

We stayed at Ramsvik as part of the Icebug Xperience, such a nice place for the base camp, friendly staff, great food and good accommodation. Would return here for a break outside of the Icebug Xperience to explore the local area and just relax and take in the amazing scenery.

Last year we visited Ramsvik Stugby on our way to fun parks in Sweeden, Denmark and Norway. It was supposed to be a stop over to make the distances a little shorter for my daughter. After having visited Astrid Lindgren Amusement Park, Tivoli in Copenhagen, Legoland and the Zoo in Kristiansand/Norway all my daugher remembered from the summer was the one night stay at Ramsvik Stugby.

My daugher (now 8) did not talk about anything else from last summer than the crab fishing at Ramsvik Camping. So this year we made it THE destination and not only a stop over. We will visit twice. The first visit was this weeekend. This camping site is so popular that we had to start out of season.

And wow did it live up to the expextations of my daughter. She immediately god friends with other kids to share in the crab fishing, swimming, small trips to the little shops.

This time we also brought her dad, who was just as excited as you can fish by the harbour or rent small boats to go out in the sea,

Food is family and kids friendly. You can watch your kids at the playground, at the shore from the breakfast hall. This time we rented the cabins close to the wooden "brygge" where the kids fish so that the distance from the cabing to there is short. The cabin had not toilet or shower but the common toilets and showers are so close that it does not matter.

The is kits heaven from 1-13.

The larger kids you can take on walks on the island, though natural shafts and rockt towards the open sea.

The staff are professional and friendly.

This place is a really swedish in many respects. Small red and white cottages on the cliffs near the sea. There is a nice sandy beach located right at the holiday village. There are great walkways on the island, both shorter and longer, but all a little bit demanding. At Ramsvik you can rent cabins of different sizes but also caravans. There is the possibility to rent boats, canoes, pedal boats and more. There is a small shop, and a good restaurant. The atmosphere is really good. Small cottages, in a small area, but cozy. I can really recommend this place for your holidays.
The downsides i can see is that the price has increased over the years. The restaurant is expensive for the most part. I also think they lost a little of the identity. If they want to be experinced as a cozy little swedish holliday village then they must think about this in order not to turn into something else.

This campground saved our butt. After getting off the ferry in Gotenburg we arrived here at the end of the afternoon, lookin for a place to put our tent. They were ful but they had one last stuga left. We found it ridiculuosly expensive (1600SEK for three matresses on the floor of the loft), but what are you going to do at 1800 at the end of a tiresome day?

Turns out they have a nice beach and dock from which the kids fish for crab and small fish. Loved it. 
Then it got even better: on fridays they organize a crab race an three crabs caught by our daughter were selected as racing crabs.
To top things off our son ended up selecting the right crab to win the race!

Fantastic place but..

Loved the Crab race

The location must be heavely in the summertime. We stayed for 4 nights with our Caravan. The shower- facilities is old, but  clean. The place is overcrowded with kids. It’s a location for school- kids camp off season. The restaurant is ok. Good food, but a small menu.

Beautiful location, but a little bit worn down.

Disappointing stay and we left after one night. Very tiny 6m sq cottage. Hardly any space to even open your suitcase.  Kitchenette too small to cook. View was nice, but spoilt by a row of caravans and shower/toilet block. We paid 1500SK = EURO 150, which is too much for what you get, even in high season.
But reception staff very friendly and helpful.
