Scandinavian Living

A wonderful farmhouse B&B in rural Scone, beautifully decorated throughout in the Swedish country style with old family furniture, fresh flowers from the garden and lit candles on the breakfast table. On our arrival, we were greeted by horses in the field, James the Cat (clearly the farm's indomitable owner!) and glasses of chilled wine on the porch. Mike and Vibecke turned out to be fantastic hosts, too: friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the local area, and great cooks to boot (Vibecke's breakfasts were excellent, with homemade preserves and eggs from the farm's chickens). Our room was spotlessly clean, and the B&B itself, while in a peaceful location seemingly in the middle of nowhere, is just a short drive away from heritage sites and pastel-coloured coastal villages. We absolutely loved our too-short stay here and look forward to returning next summer for another night under the stars chatting into the small hours! Thank you, Mike and Vibecke!!!
