We have travelled to SXM for many years & know most of the good & safe places to stay at. This area in Marigot is on a main road out of town & I think this area is not safe. There is no beach. Think & check all the areas before you book.

Not a good area

We arrived late to this hotel for one night.
We knew that it was a cheap hotel for one night but still no internet, AC not working well, not even a bottle of water in the room...
An effort is clearly needed to be at the minimum standard of an hotel.

We needed a place to stay because our flight came in too late to get to Anguilla.  As is common, there was no staff when we arrived about 9:30 p.m. By email we had been provided a code to get in and our room number.  The key was waiting for us at the desk.  I am accustomed to European hotels that have only a very small elevator but this had none.  It was inconvenient to get our suitcases to the 2nd floor - remember that the lobby is "zero" so 2nd is really 3rd.  Our room was tiny and hot.  There was no way the air conditioner could ever catch up with the accumulated heat and humidity so it was a miserable night.  There was no in-room safe as promised.  There was a small refrigerator but no bottled water available and the sign in the bathroom said the tap water was not potable.  The vending machine only took Euros so we had to way to get water - ugh!  The bedside light did not work.  The bed was uncomfortable.  The bathroom had only two bath towels - no hand towels.   The staff was friendly and the breakfast was adequate; it cost 10 Euros for a simple European breakfast but the "fruit salad" was fruit cocktail out of a can and the coffee was weak.  This place served our needs which was an inexpensive room for one night but there are other inexpensive rooms to be had in Marigot which are better than this.  We do not plan to return!

Bare bones at best

I was desperate for a place to stay so I booked this hotel last minute. Please do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY. My belongings were stolen from the hotel when I went out for the night. I came back to see my room ransacked and my bags searched and my laptop bag and cash gone. When I complained, I got the run around. No investigations no assistance of any sort.  The worst experience I've ever had in my life. PLEASE find another hotel. There's more to the story but it's even worse than I've written. Please, please stay AWAY!

Please stay away

First off, should say that the price I paid for this hotel was very reasonable and it did the job, but the pictures posted on their site are not all that current or accurate. Pool was not in good shape. Rooms are very old. Staff were very friendly and that is one reason I do not think it should not be considered if you just need an average bed for a night. The area of town is actually in Bellville, so a 15 min walk to Marigot. Having no front desk staff on call from 8pm can put some people off, but they gave me an email with the code to get in to the hotel, so all good in that respect.
