Great location. The rooms are small and basic. The sheets don't fit on the beds, and you get one towel each. The first day we complained that the door to the balcony could not be opened, and the roller-blind could not be closed. We asked to change rooms, but were told they were full. (We saw about 5 other guests during the week we were there.). The blind was kind of fixed the next day, and the door on day three. The day we left we asked if we could have a late check out of an hour, and were told that would cost us a day's rate, since "the hotel was full." The place is basic and charming, but there is really no one in charge and it's looking uncared for. Someone needs to take charge and tighten things up!

Could be so much better!

I don't know but seeing the damage the Hurricane Irma did to so many Marigot buildings which are not yet repaired this hotel much have had a major "do over"....eveything looks great. Everything worked, the restaurant (an outside vendor) does an excellence job, staff was great.  The only thing I disliked was the tv channel selection...7 channels in French is it unless you have a subscription to Netflix.  Very reasonable room rate, too.

Really good hotel...in the heart of Marigot...walking distance to numerous restaurants

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, quaint hotel in Marigot. Although the rooms were very simple and small, it was a great stay. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site, and it was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome. The value was quite good, especially in comparison with other hotels. The center courtyard is beautiful and breezy--a great place to hang out with friends. We did add on the optional breakfast, and we were very impressed with how accommodating the staff was. I would stay here again if we go back to Marigot.

Charming little hotel!

We stayed here for our vacation and for the most part found it to be as we expected. It it centrally located in Marigot and convenient to the town and the market. The room we booked was pretty basic - bed, tv, desk and chair, and the bonus of a little balcony in the inside courtyard where we could sit and relax amid the palms and sunshine. It was always cleaned thoroughly, and you could see that they had done a nice job of recovering from the damage caused by  the hurricane of a year or so ago. There is a bar and breakfast bar down in the courtyard for the convenience of someone who does not want to go exploring. There were a few minor issues with the room features. The bathroom could use some sort of soap dish (we bought a small plate at the market to use), and while there were lovely good sized towels, I would have liked to have had the use of a facecloth as well. A box of tissues would also have been nice. On the other hand, it was pleasantly quiet, convenient to taxi pick ups (there is no dedicated parking) and the staff were always willing to answer questions or help us out. The front desk becomes unattended later in the evenings, but your room key comes with a key fob to let you through the gate, and there is contact information provided for if you de need to speak with someone. The staff are very multi-lingual so you need not worry on that score - you will be understood.

Nice and convenient no frills accomodations

I made an online reservation at Centr Hotel for one night and informed them that my flight arrived into St. Maarten at 8:30 and I would come to the hotel about 9pm. My credit card was taken at time of booking. I received a confirmation email. 
On arrival at the hotel at 8:40pm, I was rudely greeted by Jasmine who told me “ you are lucky that I am still there”. This was repeated several times. She also stated that she called me at 8pm to ask if I was still coming. I told her that I was on a plane. 
I usually stay at the Fantastic Hotel and arrive in St. Martin each month on the same flight, same time. I have never been greeted rudely even when the flight is late and their reception closes at 9pm.
The lady serving breakfast was very friendly and apologetic for the rude greeting which I received. I left the hotel at 8:30am the next day and the manager had not arrived for me to speak to her/him. However I did speak to the manager’s daughter who defended her “colleague’s” actions. She claimed that they were not informed of my late arrival and she too called me but no answer. However why was I called when they had my credit card to charge if I did not show? I sent an complaint email to the manager but have had no response to date.
So if you are going to Centr hotel and arriving after 8pm, do not bother. Otherwise the room was nicely updated with only TV in French and no place in the new shower to place soap etc. 
The front desk staff requires training in customer service.

Rude front desk staff

I stayed at this hotel years ago, me and girlfriend went out came back at 2am only to find we were locked out. There was a steel gate pulled across. There was no way we were going to sleep in the car so I pushed her over and followed after, this took awhile. In the morning I told the front desk person and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. If you are a late nighter ask before booking!!

Locked out!!

Nothing fancy about this place but it is clean, well appointed, and centrally located within Marigot. Stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of a trip and 1 night at the end because our rental apartment wasn't available for the full duration of our stay. This provided all that we needed - wifi, a warm welcome from staff to help us get oriented, comfortable beds, and clean bathroom. Good starting point for the trip. Would recommend if you need a convenient place for a night or two, or are looking to save on accommodations for your trip.

Good Value, Central Location

We had an extended stay (16 days) due to an unexpected medical emergency.  All the folks associated with this hotel were AMAZING!  Stefan, Anjoli (front desk) and Sondrine (sp) who owns the cafe were so kind, as were the cleaning staff. The room was two story with a bright sunny deck and bedroom upstairs and a small living area, bathroom and kitchen downstairs.  It isn't located on a beach but is in the center of Marigot...close to shops, restaurants and the marina.  The café serves excellent breakfast and lunch. It's not a luxury hotel but quite accommodating, affordable and the landscaping very nice.  Bed was comfortable, too.  Marigot is very quiet in the evenings but the marina has some very nice restaurants for dinner.  Kudos to all the staff at Centr' Hotel and thank you!

The front desk staff, service staff and cafe owner treated us like family

Stayed here for one night on 10th of March, on way to Anguilla. Location in Marigot is perfect, less than 10mins walk to the ferry terminal (Anguilla, St Barts). Room and bathroom good size, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, great, albeit loud aircon. Breakfast very acceptable, choice between sweet and savoury although I'd like to see more fruits. Staff very nice and professional, and no issues with late check in. Cannot fault it.

Great value hotel

A very simple yet functional hotel in the middle of Marigot, just about a 3 minute stroll to the marina where there are a number of good waterside restaurants.

The room was basic yet clean and well decorated.  On the ground floor there is a courtyard restaurant which appeared to be open only for lunch (and the bar closed about 16.00).  Friendly staff.

Our only difficulty is upon arrival there was no one at reception.  After ten minutes though, we simply ordered our customary beer and wine to help us chill out until someone finally showed up.  No other problems on our one night stay.  

Would definitely stay here again.
