You'll love it too if you enjoy beautiful Caribbean sunsets, cute finches joining you for breakfast, meeting other guests from around the world and an incredibly accomodating host, Brigitte, who can share with you plenty of insights, stories and gossip about the island. As a first time St. Lucia visitor, I was surprised to watch most tourists arrive at the airport and head straight north to their resorts only to get in a van with a bunch of other people and head south for a long drive back toward the airport to enjoy the beauty of the Pitons, Soufriere and the surrounds. I got lucky and just happened to stay at Brigitte's location immediately south of the airport where she arranged for my own private driver to pick me up and tour me throughout the southern region for less than the costs of what I saw posted on Tripadvisor. Brigitte's place may be earthy, but at a fraction of resort prices and multiples on great memories and wonderful experieces. I'll be back.
