Stayed here at short notice,  Esther and France are wonderful friendly owners,  rooms spotless with great ventilation  & celling fans. Views as good as shown. Quite and peaceful location  highly recommend

A lovely place to stay

We arrived here for the final days of our holiday and we could not wish for better experience. From the beautiful gardens to the cozy rooms, welcoming and very friendly hosts, fabulous food and this was without a doubt a perfect end to our holiday in Saint Lucia.
The views are simply stunning.
I cannot recommend enough.

I will seek to return here.

Just a perfect stay

Beautiful location, very good food and a most helpful Esther in charge. We stayed for eight days and though on the ‘wrong’ side of the island found we could easily drive to Castres or Soufriere.
This is a small hotel in terms of numbers and is recommended for people not wanting to lie on the beach. Some good walks nearby.
No a/c but the fans were fine while we were there in January.

A lovely, quiet place to stay

Located well away from the mass tourism and cruise ship haunts of the west coast, this is a gem.  Esther was so welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, and all the staff were very friendly.  The rooms are not luxury but everything else more than compensates.

Superb hosts and location

Spent a relaxing 7 days here, part of a group. One thing people booking should be aware of is that the rooms in the main building are not air conditioned, there is a ceiling fan - fine for me though. As the rooms are south facing they do get hot. Hospitality is wonderful, Esther looked after our needs all week and we were served delicious breakfasts and evening meals. Menu options available for lunch, the Mamiku delight salad is recommended. Rooms cosy and clean. Great swimming pool for a refreshing swim.

Esther makes it tick..

We had a lovely time at the Fox Grove Inn staying in one of the six bedrooms at the front with a large balcony, fantastic views towards the forest and in the distance, the coastal area of Praslin & Praslin Island. 

The bed was very comfortable and everywhere was very clean, the large pool was great and again, had fantastic views towards the coast. Esther and her team looked after us very well and the food was all freshly prepared and very good, especially the fish.

Esther arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport & take us to our next destination when we left. She also recommended a local car hire company and put us in touch with the best birding tour guides on St Lucia (Adams and Vision), all of which we were very grateful for.

To summarise, we both had a very relaxing and peaceful time here, good food and company (Esther and her dogs), away from the crowds.

The Fox Grove Inn is a hotel owned by locals (Esther's husband is from St Lucia), employing locals and very much part of the St Lucia experience. Highly recommended if you're not into the all inclusive resort scenario

Location, location, location......

This is amazing value - a real gem in such an idyllic location. I cannot recommend highly enough. Esther and the team were all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic family holiday (2 teenagers) in the 2 bed apartment which was perfect, breezy and spacious with only the sounds of insects (and the occasional tropical rainfall). We mostly had the pool to ourselves and played pool in the hotel bar most evenings (the rum punch!) We did eat in the restaurant (lovely fish) but we also enjoyed shopping locally - fruit from the roadside. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and you can stroll out past mango trees, banana palms and other exotic fruit trees just down the lane. Was thrilled to see a hummingbird at breakfast on the first day. A perfect base to explore the nature of St Lucia. We hired a car and did zip-wiring at Treetops, DesCartier Rainforest Trail (parrots, freshwater crabs!), Roseau Rum Distillery, Castries markets, Mamiku Gardens & climbed Gros Piton. We combined a week here with a week on a beach doing watersports and would highly recommend the combination. Thank you Esther for such a memorable holiday. Janet & family

Idyllic base for nature lovers - amazing value

This is the second time I have visited this great relaxed hotel, on the first occasion I was on my own and loved it. This time I visited with my wife and she was so impressed.
Franz and Esther the owners are superb, their interaction with the guests is second to none,they know when to get involved with the guests and when to leave them to their own devices. 
Have to also say if you want it quiet this is definitely the place.
The hotel is a lovely private retreat set in wonderful tropical surroundings with what I consider to be the best view of anywhere I’ve ever stayed in with the bay in the distance.
The swimming pool has to also get a mention, great size and still enjoying the views just mentioned with a table tennis table along side.
The bar area and the quality pool table also need a mention 
Special highlights have to be the cuisine in the restaurant in this establishment, particularly the trio of fish. The beef tenderloin was also exquisite as was Franz’s Black Forest gateau.
All in all a great holiday experience in a very safe environment with a touch of luxury at a decent price, look forward to the next trip, Stuart and Julie

Wonderful hotel and wonderful  hosts

We stayed at Fox Grove Inn for 6 nights in Feb/Mar 2019. We were advised of this location by Motmot travel and it was everything they said. Quiet and relaxing with lovely service. The food was excellent, the rooms comfortable and clean. It is not, nor does it pretend to be luxurious but it is homely,  welcoming and very very relaxing. One night we were the only guests and often we would have the substantial swimming pool all to ourselves. We met some lovely people also staying here. Thoroughly recommended.

Relaxing and welcoming

We spent a week at the Fox Grove Inn enjoying the beautiful, quiet location on the Atlantic side of the island. 
Esther and her team provide a thoughtful,friendly welcome in a relaxed Caribbean setting.
The food was well prepared and the rum punch in particular to be recommended.
Our room with a balcony was spacious and with screens on the windows and a ceiling fan always a comfortable temperature.
The grounds were well maintained and great for spotting humming birds. The swimming pool, never crowded was a delight with beautiful views down to the bay. 
Overall a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the real world.
