Calm and relaxing

The location of this hotel is beautiful, unfortunately there is nothing for vacationers. The hotel has no soul and finally it is run from morning to evening! It is really a shame because the rooms are clean and tidy, but there is no service. The bathrooms are more than rudimentary, there is no hot water or soap.

What a pity.

This place is really outdated and the bungalows even the de luxe ones are so bad maintained.
The bathrooms - you cannot close the window, nearly No water comming out in the zink nor in the bath.
The place is correctly on the beach but they are not repairing the sunbeds, everything here look outdated !

The little "cafe" is manage by a boy - the same who helped with the boats, the luggage etc - a he can' t make food!!!
The breakfast was the worst meal in my 53 years life, and I have been travelling as a backpacker for many years in many countries.
Toastbread - totally dried - egg fried in coconut oil - it was really really bad

It's NOT cheap to stay here and there is so many other nice places at the same price, so after 1 night we booked another place also at the beach and got a 2 rooms appartment with swimmingpool at nearly the same price.

They say that the have got new management 1/2-2019, but be informed that has NOT helped at all.

Stay away !!

The complex at Bliss Bay is remote. Remote to the extent that the beach is fantastic and you are not bothered by anyone when sunbathing or swimming in the warm sea. The accommodation we stayed in was very basic, but it all worked fine.

The restaurant beer was overpriced, which was the only downside. The chef and host were very welcoming and supportive throughout.

Bring your PADI dive qualifications with you as the complex holds a busy dive school on site as well.

Perfect location if you want to get away from it all.

Isolated and basic; precisely what we wanted.

If you're not afraid of being alone in the mangrove forest, you're going to love this little resort. It's right by the sea, has a small restaurant and a beach bar. There are small cabanas with a creek and a little bigger houses. The staff were extremely nice.

Nice little resort right by the sea

Although the accommodation is a little out of the way, we felt very comfortable. Bernhard is a very attentive host. We recommend renting the accommodation. Breakfast and dinner are OK.

Easy charming accommodation

This is an amazing location, which has a relaxing atmosphere and is slightly off the beaten track.
If you like diving; it’s perfect because just behind the bungalows is Taprobane diving centre, where you can get out of bed and into your dive boat within a 20 metre walk!
There is loads of wildlife, and a beautiful unspoilt beach.
Amenities were basic, but that’s what we expected. Breakfast was simple and nice.
I would recommend using this as a base to explore Trincomalee, and eat dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants.
Mixed emotions are because the owner was aggressive when we tried to pay. He shouted and kicked the door, as he wasn’t having a good day. A shame this tainted our chilled time at Bliss Bay....

Mixed emotions

Two stars are an average of 3 for the place is 1 for the management. Nilaveli beach is beautiful but not shocking. If you want to snorkel you need to organize a trip to Pigeon Island. The resort is not well maintained and is within the confines of the abandonment. The rooms are neglected, no cleaning during the stay. On the beach 5 gazebo means broken are available to guests, but unlike other resorts on Nilaveli beach the incuracy is also denoted here.

Nice place badly managed

I can only speak well of this place. The staff makes you feel at home, they are very nice. The rooms are 50 meters from the beach, breakfast is great, the rooms are what they are but whoever comes to this place is definitely not looking for luxury, there is the possibility of renting motorcycles, but careful driving in this country is dangerous especially at night...

It's like home.

Isolated from the rest of the complex, the house had two en suite air conditioned bedrooms, sitting and dining room,  kitchen and verandah facing the sea. The food was tasty and staff eager to please. They also arranged boat trips to pigeon island for snorkelling and dolphin watching. We had a very peaceful holiday with pets, family and friends. The only negative aspect was the bad sign posting to the hotel from the main nilaveli-trinco road.
