Nature Walk Sigiriya

Stayed here for a night. Really nice owner who is friendly and speaks good English. This place is also really convenient and I managed to get here by bus (from Dambulla heading to Sigiriya). Took a tuktuk from this hostel to the Piduganara rock for only 300 rupees. If you need a nice and honest tuktuk driver for Sigiriya, you can call 077 170 7110.

Nice host

This is the cheapest place we could find in sigiriya. The location is a little out but for the price it's ok. You may or may not get breakfast, if you insist and there are enough tourists you will get it. The rooms are clean, the shower isn't great. Lots of ants outdoors, and mozzies in the room (but there is a net over the bed) if you're on a tight budget, stay here, otherwise, you will get something a lot nicer for an extra 1000rp a night.

Good for one night

When we got to the room, the first thing we noticed was the awful smell, I think it was probably the pipes since the smell was a lot worse in the bathroom. The room was full of flies, insects and even amphibians! We found a frog in the bathroom when we went to have a shower and later on we saw a cockroach too. The beds and towels were clean and the people there were very nice and helpful. It's not the best hotel, but it's ok for one night, specially if you're traveling on a budget.

Ok for 1 night 

I reserved a double basic room in this hotel just my other choices were busy (i booked one day before).

I paied 29$ for a double room with fan and i got:
-broken mosquito net
-lots of aunt near the door
-piece of door on the floor
-insects in the bathroom
-no opportunity of a breakfast/any kind of meal (sorry the chef is hill tomorrow........what a strange case, i'd say...AND THERE IS NOTHING OUT THE HOTEL!!!)
-no bikes to be rented
-NO WATER DURING THE NIGHT.
-NO STAFF SUPPORT AFTER 11PM.
-25 min waking from the center. NO LIGHTS IN THE NIGHT (Dangerous)

Yes, after we went for a dinner to a near homestay  (since in Nature Walk NO DINNER) we found that nor the WC,nor the basin nor the shower had water.
We immediatly got outside and look for the staff support but it was completly dark.

Water was available again at 5 AM the day after....i called the hotel manager and this was the worst part of this experience.

He told me on the phone i was a LIAR because the water was available as the staff while some people of the staff, standing in front of me,  were telling me they were really sleeping at that time.

HE HANG OUT THE PHONE TELLING ME THAT HE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AD MY NEGATIVE REVIEW SINCE HE WOULD HAVE RUN BUSINESS AS WELL (his hotel is in Sigiriya, come on!).

This hotel is run by a manger who only cares about money and not about customers experience.

Think to be in my shoes and be blamed to be a liar in the early moring after a such night.....
Place to be avoided at all

The worst place i'v ever been

Too many insects and the rooms were just about okay. They could have been much better. However the staff was friendly though they expressed displeasure when we did not have our meals there. The mosquito nets were annoying and not good for tall people!
