We only stayed for one evening(which had been booked through our driver )but were so very impressed with the fine service ,food and friendliness.The Manager was extremley helpful and friendly.The family cooked us a wonderful home cooked evening meal and breakfast. The room was clean and spacious, the location very peaceful and the view from the rooftop was spectacular. We would definately recommend this B&B.

The hotel is located close to the city centre on the hill with nice view of Kandy. Unfortunaly, the hotel is built on the very steep hill and it takes some energy to walk to the hotel as the car cannot drive up there. The hotel also does not have a restaurant and not sure if they prepare any food there at all. However we had really nice staying with amazing view and all rooms very comfy and clean. The family who is living in the hotel takes a good care of all guests. Our transport to Ella was well organised. We do recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here, though only for one night. The hotel has only been running for about a month so they are still ironing out any issues. We were met by the lovely manager who spoke fantastic English and had studied hospitality in Australia. The building has a lovely rooftop however you cannot eat up there due to the monkeys which the manager warned us about. The family cooked us a beautiful Sri Lankan dinner on the request of our guide and the whole family including the kids (very friendly, though shy) got involved. The Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the main Kandy strip and up in the hills a little ensuring a quiet night sleep!! Rooms were clean and new, big comfy beds and the A/C worked perfectly. A very nice B&B feel and would definitely recommend it to others.

Lovely family run B&B

Tucked behind he Thrilankan on a steep uphill sits this hotel.  We arrived on an early flight and got to the hotel prior to check in.  The manager and staff were very accommodating and quickly made up a room for us.  We learned the prior manager had just been replaced on Aug 1st and the new team working hard to overcome the issues left over from prior mgt.  

The Pros:
Large rooms and baths with high ceilings, a/c, balcony and views.  Bed is basic but comfortable.
Location is ideal - a short walk to the attractions in town center and ricks haws always available as you come down the hill and the location high above the town reduces noise and provides great views.
The management team, three men who cook, clean and arrange taxis etc. are very accommodating and will bend backwards to try to make your visit a good one.
Free wifi and meals are available but suggest you request in advance.

The Cons:
The property overall is in need of a good scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint.  Windows need to be washed too.  My husband remarked it needs a "woman's eye" and attention.  Linens are scratchy, towels non-absorbant and the pillows should be replaced, but all are serviceable.  The property is at the top of a steep hill and taxis can't make it all the way up so be prepared.  Not a hotel for those expecting a 4-star experience
