6 reviewsThis was our first stop in SriLanka and it was full of hospitality. The owner, Bala, came to the door to receive us. He also spoke with our cab driver to direct him to the hotel. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes from the airport. We hired our own cab but Bala offers pick and drop to the airport as well for a minimal price. We had an airconditioned clean room with an AC that cooled really well. There is a common terrace facing some greenery. The bathroom is clean and basic with soap provided. Bala was extremely friendly and caring. We were fasting in the month of ramadan, which required us to have a meal just before daybreak around 3 am. We requested Bala to provide something at night so that we do not have to disturb him early morning. Bala showed superb hospitality and woke at 3 am to make us a huge breakfast with egg, fruits, bread, jam, butter, tea, coffee and curries. We were very touched. Initially, we actually forgot initially to pay for the breakfast, but Bala did not insist. However, on rechecking our documents, we realized the mistake, went and paid for it. We were very impressed by his professionalism. Overall, this is a clean, friendly and affordable place to stay near the airport and we definitely recommend it.
