Monrose Hotel is a cool place which is about 2kms away from the downtown and 1km from "Lake Gregory" Our stay was on a sunny day and the view from the room towards vegetable fields was great and the area is now crowded. The staff service is excellent and that was the best Sri Lankan dinner we had on our trip. They have a budget rate on rooms, but still following their standards. A good choice :)
