Liyon Rest

We have been travelling around Sri Lanka and this is by far the best place we stayed! The location is perfect, just on the outskirts of Sigiriya that it is relatively quiet but everything is only a short drive away. Also plenty of restaurants and shops around if needed. Both the bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. We had a mosquito net over the bed which was extremely useful due to being far inland. The grounds of the accommodation were lovely, lush and green and from our understanding they are improving even further! Lakmal and his family were the kindest, friendliest, most attentive hosts. Anything we needed, including organising cars and tuk tuks, they assisted. They even helped us delivering and collecting our laundry from a local trusted laundrette! We had a delicious home cooked dinner served by their family both nights. Breakfast was also great, a variety of fruits, roti, toast and omelette. Can’t recommend this stay highly enough if you will be in Sigiriya!
