A wonderful place to stay. From the warm welcome on our arrival, we knew it would be good. We had a lovely attic room, beautifully furnished, spacious, comfortable bed - and a balcony overlooking Gregory Lake. There is a good walk around the lake and we could admire the “party bus” one evening on the other side. The property and garden are beautifully  maintained. The food was superb, the chef introduced himself and was eager to please; we didn’t feel we needed to go out for dinner because the meals were so good. We would certainly stay there again if back in NE and highly recommend.

Mr.Wijenayaka Is the reason one should return to this place. He was not only hospitable, but also very warm and extremely good to converse with. 

The place has an excellent cook, breathtaking views and is nestled in nature. 

The one thing is that eating places are very far, though the place gives you excellent options. 

A must return experience.

Vijay and his team were fantastic. Took care of the smallest of requests with a lot of attention to detail. Vijay is a complete hospitality manual in himself.

The staff at tea plant Nuwara Eliya was extremely inhospitable. It’s a very nice and calm hotel with a great surrounding but, the so called “acting manager” along with one chef wasn’t great communicators. There was attitude within them. The chef had no respect at all. We were expecting a wonderful weekend to spend with the family but the staff at Tea Leaf ruined it all for us that we had to change hotels for the rest of the weekend. Horrible companionship and do not recommend the hotel at all.

When we first arrived I didn’t think it would be what it was from the outside!
It was absolutely beautiful. We felt like home and Mr Vj made sure we didn’t feel anything but that! He was the most friendliest warm person I have  encountered.
He always made sure we are comfortable, checked in with us, gave us tips and prepared for us delicious local food which was a delight.
The rooms are clean and spacious with a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake and the tea fields.
We were on a getaway and we loved every minute of it!
Clean towels, bath robes and slippers were provided.
I personaly recommend it for couples who are looking for a retreat away from busy city life!
The staff was all so friendly and welcoming!
This place was a diamond and We are so glad we stayed there!

A hudden gem

Such a lovely place! Fantastic attic room with high ceilings, I really recommend this room type. Balcony with a view over the lake. Big bathroom with rainfall shower. Everything in the room seems newly renovated or updated. Nice beds! 
Very friendly, professional and helpful staff, and the restaurant is ace! Both breakfast and dinner is amazing! 
During the pandemic the bar is not open, but they serve beer and wine in the restaurant.

Really nice boutique hotel

We loved our stay at Tea Plant Hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and very hospitable. The food was amazing. The chef made everything to our preference. And we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here. Amazing location and view from the rooms. The Manager, Mr Wijenayaka was very accommodating and made sure we had a wonderful experience at their hotel.
Hoping to be back soon.

Wonderful experience

A lovely property with the best people! We were lucky enough to have the entire property to ourselves. The surrounding gardens belonging to the property is exquisitely maintained. The Manager of the property Mr.Wijenayaka was the most humble and obliging person ever! So accommodating! The staff was constantly checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Outstanding customer service. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. food was great too. The view overlooking Gregory Lake was mind blowing! Each and every detail about this place puts a smile on our face. Thanks all for everything. We will visit you soon.

Outstanding Service! Lovely People!

Where to start! by far the best hotel we have stayed in so far in Sri Lanka. Met by friendly welcoming staff to warm towels and tea as a welcoming drink. The attic bedroom had views overlooking the lake. The bed ,with doonas,because it can get cool up here in the hills,were ultra comfortable and the pillows the best we have slept on. We ate out for dinner on our drivers advice,who had a friend that owned a restaurant there. Breakfast was superb and huge with fruits,juice,toast,pancakes,roti,cooked eggs anyway etc. We could walk around the lake and did before breakfast.
