Whole check in was smooth
The room was without basic amenities, e.g. fridge.
The air con leaked

I was rather frustrated that being an ‘airport hotel’ they continued to play loud music until beyond midnight - not great when you’ve an early flight 

The quality is definitely not of the star rating, see pictures

Could do with some TLC

I had a great time here during the end of march, It was a last moment booking and thanks to Mr. Hiranda we were able to get a good deal and a pleasant surprise of a free room upgrade to the lagoon view. The lagoon view was lovely and so was the balcony area. The food variety and taste is really good. Will definitely be back here again.

Calm & Peaceful

We stayed here for a night after arriving at the airport. It wasn't the best experience to be honest and by far the worst hotel out of the 6 we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip.  Our room was in the older block above the bar/breakfast restaurant and had seen better days, it looked very dated compared to the photos (presumably these are of the newer rooms) and didn't seem too clean - I found rubbish on the sofa. The worst part was the bathroom which stank like old drains/sewage, if we'd been staying for more than one night we'd have complained but we were so jet-lagged after being awake for 24 hours we just needed to sleep so just kept the door shut to stop the whole room smelling.

We weren't given any information at check in so I had to ask where breakfast was served and also whether we could order food from the restaurant to eat in our room for dinner...and where I could find the menu. 

We went to the bar for a drink in the afternoon and were the only customers. Our son's cola was served straight away but despite lots of staff standing around talking behind the bar we honestly waited more than 20 minutes for our mocktails by which time I was gasping as we'd come straight from the airport and was hot and thirsty.

The pool looked nice but not wonderfully maintained as both sets of steps were really wobbly.

I'm amazed it's apparently a 4 star hotel as it didn't compare to any of the others we stayed in and I'd say it's closer to a 2 star, also surprised at so many positive reviews on here. Luckily we were only staying for one night, maybe if we'd been staying longer we'd have recieved better service, who knows.

Not great

This hotel was very bad, first they forgot to mention on check in that there was going to be a 5 piece band playing 20ft from my room and played till 12.00 midnight with all the strobe lighting flashing into the rooms, so even with ear plugs it was impossible to sleep, once the band stopped the ancient AC unit kicked in which looked like never serviced and constant rattle and squeaking. The shower overflowed all over the bathroom and the room was just run down and tired. One of the staff members let them selves into the room to deliver towels without knocking, I was undressed at the time, this place was a joke, supposed to be 4 star more like fawlty towers. Absolute shocker, do not stay here!

Bad hotel

Beautiful view on the water. The room was clean and AC worked super well. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. 

Location is centrally located. Right off the busy street but tucked away so you don’t hear the hustle and bustle of busy Negombo. Great distance from the airport. 

Great way to kick off our Sri Lankan vacation!!!

Exceptionally clean rooms and common areas and a very welcoming staff. We stayed 4 days what a great place to start our visit to Sri Lanka.  Without reservation the Amagi Aria is the best.

Great Hotel and the best place to start visiting Sri Lanka

Our recent stay at Amagi Aria hotel for a management get-together was truly exceptional. Exceptional Experience for Management Get-Together

Mr Hiranda Miranda was very helpful from the very start and played a key part in helping my mums birthday to be a great one. His exceptional customer service is commendable. Staff like him is a strength to the hotel as customers will definitely come back. 

Room was good but the linen looked faded. This is something the management needs to work on as its a plus to have pure white sheets and pillow cases

A better variety for dinner would have been better. Most of the staff at the restaurant are trainees, hence there was a delay in service. Would have been better if the management had a close eye on the trainees and supported them so that customers will not get impacted.

The exceptional customer service of Hiranda is definitely a plus for customers to comeback

This hotel is located right on a beautiful lagoon and most of the rooms face the sunset on the lagoon. We found the staff very curtious and always ready to help! The restaurant below and room service from the restaurant was perfect! Our recommendation would be to book a Luxury Suite with a Jacuzzi in the balcony. The view from these suites is beautiful and the upgrade cost from a normal room is minimal. Highly recommended!

Romantic Sunsets right from your room!

I stayed in this hotel briefly for about half day but i am sure i was able to see what all it had to offer.. The hotel is just 10 mins drive from the Airport. The location of the hotel is decent as it is overlooking the Indian ocean.

On the main road (like 2-3 mins walk) you can find few grocery shops and also a Barista (Coffee shop).

We were on the 3rd floor, the room was good in size with average furniture. The bbed side charging points were missing. We also saw a giant cockroach the room, which was removed with the help of bell boy.

The view from room was nice, as it was overlooking the pool and the sea. The room also had a nice balcony with table and chair to relax after a day of work or just to enjoy your morning tea.

The bathroom was also decent in size, the shower water pressure and water temperature were ok.

The buffet breakfast had a nice spread but very less options for vegetarians, rather only 1-2 options. With its proximity to Indian subcontinent, i was expecting to have few Indian dishes as well. (Considering Indian dishes are now accepted and enjoyed by multi national travellers as well)

The hotel had decent wifi. We had dinner on the porch (by poolside), dinner quality and quantity were good.
