Sky View Hotel

We are a group of 36 people (Family and friends) from Hyderabad, India, stayed in this hotel for a day on 24th Jan 2019. Had dinner and Breakfast at this hotel. 
The receptionist Lady and the staff are Excellent, The Rooms are well furnished, the Food is very good. 
I was a bit Apprehensive to stay in this hotel after seeing the previous reviews.
But it is a PLEASANT experience to stay here and have food.

Our group of 85 people were accommodated for a night here. We reached the Hotel by about 8:30 PM and by the time the checking in process was completed, it was about 10:00 PM. The hotel is on a small hill side with a narrow road leading to it. There are two blocks with rooms, at two different levels. All the rooms had brand new furniture and fittings. 

The services were yet to be settled in. Although a WiFi was said to be present, no one could connect to it in either of the blocks. The other services such as reception, bell boys, call desk etc were also on an adhoc basis. The whole set up looked new. 

Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. 

There are a couple of convenience stores and cafes located close to the hotel. 

There were no elevators in both the blocks.

Excellent place to Stay in Kandy

A new look "Work-in-Progress" Hotel

This place is an absolute hovel.  Worst accommodation and experience I've ever had.
I checked in late in the evening, hence I was unable to address these issues during the one night that I stayed.

BED BUGS!
Faulty A/C
No towels or even bed linens were provided - just a very worn overused blanket
No toilet roll
The owners locked me out of the property late at night
+ then their Builders woke me up in the morning making A LOT of noise outside my room at 9am on Sunday taking down scaffolding!

I paid for 2 nights but only got a refund for the night I refused to stay.  No compensation for the days of itching I'm going to experience from the bed bugs, or the lack of sleep I was able to get.  Didnt even use the shower because there wasnt a towel. 

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING A HOTEL.

BED BUGS BEWARE!

I travelled up to Kandy during my stay in Sri Lanka. It was arranged for me to stay at this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE! I can only agree with previous comments regarding this hotel that stated how terrible it is even by Sri Lankan standards. It was expensive, no breakfast included, my room was basic to say the least. Electrics were fitted in the shower, Windows broken & repaired with tape, no towels so I had to buy my own & I had to sleep on the mattress as it lacked any sheets, only the one covering the mattress, so I slept under that, fortunately the mattress was clean. The staff were very pleasant which is really all I can say in the hotels favour. 

Avoid!

We came to spent my Honeymoon. We booked the room before a month. Before we come to the hotel i asked from a call that we come. But we came to the hotel at 5 pm. At that time they not ready. A servant (Old man) came and gave the key of the room. NO WELCOME as a honeymoon couple.

Hotel environment feel so bad and uncomfortable. facilities are less comparing with the price. Hotel service members are not good at all. Recipient lady should be pleasant and should be known how to respectful to the visitors.thank you.
