Mahakanda Home Stay

Sareth my charming and very professional driver from www.srilankantourguide.com who drove me all over the island has made his own lovely home available as a homestay. Set just beyond the gracious University complex and mercifully away from the mad traffic of downtown Kandy this impressive free standing private house has wrap around balconies with amazing 180 degree views over the surrounding mountains from every room. As a guest you are given the whole top floor with a wrap around balcony, a spacious room with private bathroom adjacent to a large living area, total privacy The superb home cooked dinner and breakfast is served downstairs in the family home by Sareth's delightful wife. This was the best homestay I found in my Sri Lankan trip and it was a privilege to be able to share it and their company for a few days. Excellent Wi Fi and wonderful value too.
