The Green Villa

We really enjoyed our stay at The Green Villa, checked in for 1 night. I was a bit hesitant to book it due to there not being many reviews or photos of the place however I'm glad I did! We were greeted and offered drinks, we were then showed to our room, which was really nice. Pretty basic but clean and tidy. The bed was comfy and we had a nice tv in the room. The guy that works in the guesthouse arranged a tuk tuk for us, his friend- which was fantastic he gave us a reasonable price and took us to lots of different places. He also does tours of Kandy, I think we paid around 2000RS for the day and we visited lots of places! He took us to Kandy Perahera too and collected us and took us back to the guesthouse. In the morning we were cooked breakfast, lots of fruit and omelette and toast with jams and tea/coffee. All very nice. The hotel owner arranged a car and a driver back to Colombo for us as we didn't fancy getting the train. Everybody here was very helpful and I would definitely recommend staying. Only 2 improvements I would suggest is the water in the shower was a bit hit and miss, could probably do with a new shower head as it wasn't very powerful. Also one major put off for me was the hotel phone number wasn't correct on agoda which we booked our stay through. This needs changing really as we struggled to get hold of anyone and there is another hotel in Kandy called ''Green Villa'' so getting there initially was confusing for the tuk tuk driver we were with. Apart from that it was very nice!!
