De Mansion Hotels

Hill city mansion is a very clean and attractive hotel. We were greeted by Sarath who could not have been more accommodating. He showed us to our room and was great at looking after us and bringing us tea to our room upon arrival. Sarath also got us tuk tuk a whenever needed and was always very happy to help. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Kandy. I would like to say a special thanks to Sarath for looking after us on our visit to Hill City Mansion. 

The deluxe room was beautiful with the wooden panels on the walls. The balcony was just perfect to relax after a very tiring day of back packing. N also very very Friendly Staff...Good Price,Good Lacation

Great accomodation

It`s Awesome

This wifi was down for the duration of our stay as they had not paid their bills. (As told by the security guard) They also locked the gates all day on sunday. It was very irritating hunting for a staffmember whenever we wanted to go out. 

Rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated though. Location was also very central and convenient.

Average

Rooms and layout modern and nice; restaurant service (but waiter didn't understand English tourists) available outside room.  Room was 3 floors above ground level, there are no lifts/elevators.  Staff consisted of 2 airheaded young men who needed direction.  Sheets, towels, coffee making facilities, etc, needed to be requested several times before response, and then gradually because staff could only remember one "to-do" at a time.  Accommodation is not available for drivers regardless of what it says on the website.  Although booking.com says that payment by card is possible, their card machine is apparently permanently "broken" (although that is common in Sri Lanka!).  Not in a tourist area; view from outside room was of town.  Slow wifi in room.  Failed to clean room after first night.

Will not be going back

Had no water. Toilet didnt flush, no shower, horrible service with no helpful or knowledgeable staff.  Ruined my birthday stay.  The people there are so ridiculous.  No idea how to run the place. Really, dont go.
