We had a great time at this place. It has a great view and a calm environment. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Ample parking space was available. Food was also very tasty.  Caretaker was very welcoming and supportive. Hoping to visit soon!

The place was nice and had a good caretaker, Mr. Bandara. He was able to cook nice meals and had good hospitality skills to support my family members who stayed there. 

The hotel had excellent views of the nearby mountains and the rail roads with a beautiful view over the valley of Kandy and Gannoruwa. The only problem is the roads, the access was quite tedious from both ways. if you are driving a vehicle with lower ground clearance, do not take it there.

Misty hills is one of the best hotels with a calm and soothing atmosphere, providing a peaceful getaway for guests. The staff is friendly and very communicable. One of our best experiences in kandy...

Three of us stayed for a night and enjoyed ourselves. It was difficult to find so make sure you have a map. The views were spectacular, beds comfortable and host was very pleasant, value for money was a 5/5. Downside was the bathroom which lacked any pressure and leaked. For an extra few rupees we got a great Sri Lankan breakfast. Would stay again if they got the bathroom tidied up

The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was large and we had the whole house to ourselves even though there was only the two of us. There is a balcony on the main floor outside the dining area as well as a private one for the main room. The only thing missing really was a mosquito net, I got a few bites overnight.

The price is very fair to have a whole place to yourself, however be sure to calculate in the cost of tuktuk rides up and down the hill (300 Rs down, 500 Rs back up - it adds up quickly), which are necessary if you want to go pretty much anywhere as there is nothing outside the bungalow other than other guest houses. I suppose that is the price you pay for such a peaceful and beautiful view.

The caretaker does not speak English, but his food is very good. We had dinner there one night, after giving sufficient notice to the caretaker. He prepared a great Sri Lankan meal for 1200 Rs and 200 Rs for a pot of coffee afterwards. We also enjoyed a lovely breakfast (included) every morning, and a pot of tea (or coffee - your preference) was also included, lovely to enjoy on the balcony overlooking Kandy.

I do not understand the previous opinions. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 2 nights as it was unpleasant. Firstly it is not the bungalows. Cleanliness was relative. Only the floors were clean. There was mould on the curtains in the bathroom. The sheets smelled bad. Breakfast was typical Sri Lankans but certainly very average. There is a nice view but it is not calm at all. I spent two weeks in Sri Lanka and this is the worst hotel where I stayed. Positives: the view, the price, amiability and service. The man who runs the hotel (which is not the owner) will do anything to satisfy you.
