Heslaa hills is to close to kandy center the city with the great buddha's temple and the kings....
The owner Gayan and his team is very nice and helpful . The service & the food was excellent .. there is also herbal massage verry healthy dont miss.  this is my last night here we will miss you all .. thanks alot and good luck in the second business. Sure i will come again  next yime :) 

What an awesome little hideaway! Gayan and the crew were genuinely friendly and welcoming. I had stayed in a couple of pretty dodgy places in Colombo so coming here to a brilliant and very welcome surprise. It's a five minute ride into town which the guys will do for you at the price of a tuktuk so don't worry about that. If you want somewhere to chill out whilst staying in candy I would book in here! Good vibes 

Really lovely homestay in the hills of Kandy, easy to get to town but far enough out that it is nice and peaceful. Rooms are super comfortable and spacious and the view was incredible. Really helpful owner who gave lots of invaluable advice. Breakfast was delicious.

The things to love about this place is more than just staying and sleeping in. The place was located in a calm and beautiful location with garden facing a breathtaking scenery of distant mountains. It takes about 10 minutes to get there by a taxi from the Kandy city, and it is a great place to rest in calmness without having go away from the city. And it's almost like you escaped to one of your dream homes, with the wide TV lounge, and Wi-Fi.

The room was very clean, wide and had a lot of space. Perfect for simply relaxing. The bathroom too was in very good condition and clean.

The hospitality of the staff was as great as the rest of the things. The manager and the staff was really friendly and was ready to fulfill whatever the request we make. They serve you with a delicious welcoming cup of tea as soon as you get there. It is absolutely great how they treat us and take care of things without us having nothing to worry about, and I'm really thankful for the manager and the staff for that.

The hotel even provides their own touring service all around the country, for anyone who's here to travel and their tour packages too seemed reasonable. Which however I did not require at the moment as I already had my own travel plans. But for anyone who's planning to travel in Sri Lanka, booking travel packages from them will be more convenient as you get a combo package of traveling and staying.

And to make things even better, the place has a Spa. And that take your holiday getaway from just "relaxing" to "wonderful". The masseuse was well skilled. And the massage I had made my stay unbelievably and wonderfully relaxing.

It was a wonderful experience of getaway I had at Heslaa Hills and I would definitely choose this place again if I look for a relaxing stay in Kandy.

A nice building from the outside.
Comfortable bed.
Adequate breakfast.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Free wi-fi.
Big rooms.
Homely feel.

Con's:
Could do with a revamp & fresh paint (however the owner explained about this).
Shower pressure.
Could do with a deep clean to bring back to life. 

This place is perfect if you're passing by and want a cheap, friendly and conveient place. For the price of 2800 per night you can't complain.
