A charming little guesthouse located on the hills. Wasanti, the hostess, is helpful and attentive and takes care of guests with other housemaids. This is a small villa and they open spare rooms for travelers to stay; it means it’s a homestay not a hotel. Breakfasts in the lovely garden terrace were memorable, and indeed it was a green view. The location is a bit far from the town, although a walkable distance: 5 min to The Garden Cafe and 20 min to Tooth Temple. Guests can use shortcut stairways to the road from the back door. If you walk after sunset, you should bring a headlamp because the road becomes pretty dark at night. I just wish the location would be a little closer to the town and the bathroom would be improved.

Heartwarming hospitality

Lovely setting overlooking the busy town. Peaceful garden for relaxing and just enjoying the view. Clean and comfortable rooms and run by helpful staff who provided a good range of breakfast foods. Shortcut to city

Charm near the city

This is a great option if you want to enjoy some peace away from the bustle of Kandy town. It's a lovely home and garden which is great for relaxing in. Room was clean anda  good size The owner is very nice and will help in any way she can. As others have said the food is great there too. I thought overall for the price it was great value.

Getting into town is a cheap tuk tuk or walk- I like walking so I walked into town most days with no problem. I would recommend walking up into some of the hills around the guesthouse too, for me I enjoyed that more than the town

Peaceful location and great host

Very helpful landlord. The rooms are clean, but a little old-fashioned. Family-run accommodation with a nice breakfast table. The situation was unfortunately somewhat hidden, but quiet for that.

The Greenview Hotel

The Kandy Green View Boutique is a wonderful guesthouse. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You can relax on the terrace, take a cup of tea or enjoy a homemade Curry. Delicious! The owner and her housekeeping are very friendly and will help you what ever you need. She can also organize trips and transports. We booked actually two nights, but extended our stay there for a third night, because we're really enjoyed it. The Sri Lanka  breakfast is fantastic! Thanks for all. Thomas and Sonja  (Germany).

The green secret 

We were in Kandy for two days and we stayed here. The guesthouse is nicely furnished and we immediately felt comfortable. Unfortunately, the room couldn't be properly ventilated, which was a shame. The bathroom could afford a little renovation.

Nice little guesthouse.

Unfortunately, I got here a little sick, so I didn't see much Candy. The owner took care of me very carefully. The guest house is pretty, not too far from the sights and easily accessible if you know how. The first time, though, the driver may have to call to get a directions. The house is very pretty, just like the garden. Our room was simple but clean. Only the sliding door of the bathroom was a slightly unfortunate solution. The street is a little further away, so the noise wasn't too much of a problem. The breakfast was great.

Have a good time

As indicated by others before me, this guesthouse - which looks more like a guest room in a house - is a little far from the center of Kandy but the eastern end of the lake is only 10 minutes' walk away and so it is not so disabling. For the rest, Wasanthi (forgive her if I shorten her name!) is a kind and caring hostess, the rooms are large and comfortable and overlook the garden, breakfast is plentiful, and it is possible to have a delicious rice & curry dinner if you pre-book.
