We had a truly wonderful 3 nights stay at the Urban Castle (aptly named due to stunning interior, period pieces and decor). We were a family of 4 including 2 young children. From the moment we arrived we received a very warm welcome and all our needs were tended to. Urban Castle is family ran and Gaya and Prasads family home. As such it was a very home from home experience with several comfortable seating areas. We enjoyed wonderful and freshly home cooked breakfasts and Sri Lankan themed evening meals which we and our children devoured. During our stay Prasad and Gaya gave us informed advice about places of interest etc. We booked a taxi which we used for the day to travel around Kandy. We visited the Botanical Gardens, Sanctuary and the viewing point. Cannot recommend Urban Castle enough and will definitely look to revisit.
