This is NOT a hotel!!! This is NOT a hostel for surfers. Hole roof (including the rooms on the 3rd floor), mold and fungus in the bathrooms (especially on the 1st floor), in the rooms only a bed, shoe tray and mirror. There is NO more!!! There are no basic hooks for clothes. Bedclothes and towels are poor, all in stains. But they are washed clean. Even the enemy will not wish!!! Avoid this place!!! If you had written honestly that this hostel, then, etc., and would have put a positive rating..

Uncle Tom's Cabin is NOT a hotel!

Now this hotel is called Polina Beach Resort (formerly - Hansa Surf). The dirt everywhere is not cleaned for a few days until you ask for it. Everywhere is a mountain of empty bottles and garbage. The bedding is old, gray in stains. The carpets are scary, dirty, stained. God forbid you get into the rooms on the first floor: ruins, dirt, bakeries. Wi-Fi is bad, sometimes completely disappears. If you like the round-the-clock noise of the restless ocean, you might like staying here. However, here you won't always see the beauty of the jungle of Sri Lanka - it's just about the roads and villas behind the towers.

The horror is terrible.

For the coldest beers on the beach and amazing views of the surf on the reef break and the main break. We have visited the place many times over the years and have always been very happy. The breakfast is to die for, with fresh bread, eggs, pot of coffee/tea and fruit plate and all that for less then a few gbp. Amazing. The whole team working there are always making sure everything is perfect. Great value

The rooms are in need of a lot of repairs, 30's wallpaper, holes, stains, a drawer, if only for one night, pictures were nice, but in fact they're a hoax, smell awful, the mixer is a mess, not recommended.

The Hansa Surf (or the new name Polina Beach Resort) is good, a little tired of furniture and plumbing, but it's worth the price. It's right on the coast, you can go out and swim and surf right away (better a little to the left of the exit). The staff are friendly and responsive, they can cook food according to your recipe if you can't find a suitable one from the menu))

It's a good hotel, I recommend it to surfers.

In July 2022 the hotel is not suitable for living. All the rooms require major repairs, and after seeing a rat in the toilet - we packed up and went to another hotel the same day, the money was not returned accordingly. Maybe it was normal there before, but not now. I don't recommend even considering for a place just stay overnight

A good budget hotel right on the ocean. A very hospitable owner of Pasha... Helped to exchange currency at a good rate, more profitable than in a barter... You can book tours right through it...

Excellent hotel - first line and fancy view of the ocean. A decent cheap kitchen. A welcoming staff. Separately I want to thank the owner of the Pasha hotel - he speaks excellent Russian, organizes excursions and... exchanges dollars at a convenient rate (I really do not recommend buying rupees at the airport).

The first floor, opposite the reception, is a freezer for everyone.
