Hotel Apna

I stayed here for the first week of my elective st Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. The room was lovely, with my own private bathroom and excellent AC and TV (although it was all in singhalese). My room had a large window that opened onto the balcony. The balcony area is excellent and really nice for eating your huge breakfast on. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They even called a Tuktuk for me whenever I needed one. Only downside was that the hotel was a bit out of the way for my needs as it was a 30 min walk to the hospital and a ten minute tuktuk ride to the galle fort. The wifi was a little slow at times. Overall a good place to stay but maybe not if you're wanting to visit the touristy Galle fort area.
