Ella's Edge Resort

Let me start with what a view. The view from the common areas and room was absolutely incredible. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better view while staying in Ella. The staff was very attentive and the food was plentiful.  Highly recommend staying here 

Amazing setting (much better than in the photos). The hotel is on the side of the mountain, offering breathtaking views. There is a very large open lobby/dinning area where you can sit, eat and enjoy the view that reaches to infinity. We had a family room for our family of 4 and it was absolutely amazing. Two large double beds and almost floor to ceiling windows on the two corner walls, allowing you to rest while looking into nature (while no-one can see you at the same time). Bathroom a little run down but the place is so onderful that this is nor really a major issue.
Breakfast was copious and very good, buffet.
You can walk along the road (even at night) to Ella, which you reach in less than 10 minutes. We went for a walk early morning all the way to Ella's train station, les than 30 min. Staff offered us a couple of umbrellas in the evening when we went out for dinner, as it had rained earlier and they wanted to make sure that our walk to and from Ella would not be unpleasant.
As usual all throughout Sri Lanka, great, smily, kind, helpful staff!

We enjoyed this place  our holiday.. actually we booked one night but stayed 2 more nights..thank you for everything..we would be differently come back..

It's a small resort with limited facilities but the staff made our stay superb. Sameer and his staff were ready to do everything for us. I am a Cancer survivor hence can't eat normal food. The kitchen staff in supervision of Sameer customised my food with great efforts so that I could eat properly. Otherwise also, they kept their all promises in spite of many hurdles and difficulties. I will give 101 out of 100 for their efforts.

Was an amazing experience spending two nights at this hotel. So close to the attractions and the service was fantastic. From the Manager to every staff is very warm and makes you feel special. Value for money with extremely comfortable beds and a great mountain view. The food was very authentic and fresh. Will definitely be back

We stayed at Ella’s Edge for 2 nights. The views from the shower have to be seen to be believed! The rooms are clean and spacious. The chef prepared an amazing selection of vegetable curries for our dinner and the breakfast was equally terrific. We got up at 5.30am to go and see the sunrise at Little Adam’s Peak. Also amazing. 10/10 recommended staying here.

This is an amazing place to stay. This is 2kms away from ella train station. Location is superb. Breath taking view. Rooms are super comfortable. The most important Thing is their service. Each & everyone in their staff is very friendly & attentive. We’ll recommend this amazing property to anyone. Thanks a lot for everything♥️♥️♥️

Really nice and helpful staff, they understood that I cannot eat gluten and they made special breakfast for me every day. Amazing omelette/eggs with sausage, vegetables and potato. It was not on the regular buffet but they made an effort!! The room was nice, the ventilation in the bathroom needs some extra cleaning tho. Amazing view!

A hotel with a reasonable price and decent clean rooms.  The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good as well and the view was exquisite! Thank you for making our stay memorable and looking forward to return soon. 

Much happy with the value for money we got here. The hotel is easy to find. It has beautiful views. All the rooms are have a patio to relax with the lovely breeze. They have an extensive food menu with great taste. We were treated well. Will return for sure.

Great views...Great Rooms...Great food

Amazing views and amazing food

Nestled in the charming town of Ella, this accommodation offers a convenient and easily accessible retreat for travelers. We opted for the Superior double room, a spacious haven with two warm and comfortable beds. Good sound proofing as well. The bed sheets and towels were clean, and the room came well-equipped with a minibar stocked with few beverages, an electric kettle, and a hairdryer. Tea, coffee, sugar bags, and water bottles were also provided.

While the AC functioned well, there were minor issues with the heat mode (head some noises). Moving to the bathroom, it was tidy, with a few pieces of soap and shampoo available. ⚠️ The Jacuzzi had a crack, and the water we filled for the first time was brownish, so we had to flush that away. Its water pump worked efficiently, providing a comfortable experience with hot water.

For dinner, we enjoyed Seafood noodles and Chicken soup, both served hot and bursting with delicious flavors. The roasted bread complemented the soup perfectly. ⚠️ Despite a power cut during the night, attempts to contact the staff were unsuccessful (left a message at night), and the issue persisted into the morning (called to the provided mobile and land-line phone numbers but none of them worked). Anyway, after being physically informed, the power was restored.

The morning, however, brought a breathtaking view from the room, offering a wide and panoramic spectacle of the surroundings. It provided an excellent opportunity for capturing stunning photos ❤️. We saw the lovely Kithal Ella Falls from the side as well.

Opting for a Sri Lankan breakfast, we were treated to a delightful spread at the restaurant, where the view continued to impress. The meal included fruit juice, roasted bread with butter and jam, milk rice and dosa with Sri Lankan curries, and pancakes. Complementary milk and plain tea with sugar were also offered.

In summary, our stay was a great experience and worth the price, with delicious food and an amazing view. The staff was helpful and remarkably informative. ⚠️ However, there's room for improvement in communication, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms.

Its a good place Clean room and bathroom nice environment staff is very friendly and helpful  . Room is bit small thats the minus point i have to give otherwise everything is perfect for the price ,, À la carte dishes bit higher price but delicious
