Posada de Ziga

We were fortunate to arrive in Ziga on a gloriously sunny, clear day, so the little village, and this Posada, looked stunning. Once inside the Posada, you are transported back into the past. Ana, the very welcoming host (along with her husband) has done her best to maintain the 300 year old look of the place, but with modern comforts too. The room was simply furnished, but very comfortable, with glorious views across the hills. The food is of the region, freshly cooked and served with very good local wines. As Ana herself says, it's not a place for everyone, but for anyone who loves the peace of the countryside and a simple, but warm and excellent welcome and hospitality, then I thoroughly recommend this Posada .And at 267 euros for 3 nights accommodation, with breakfast and dinners, it is excellent value. We will definitely return!
