Both the interiors and exteriors of the hotel is very well maintained, extremely clean and the ambience is 'home from home' with excellent customer service from all staff. The bed linens and towels are good quality and clean. The location is a short and pleasant walk to Matalascanas beach. The beach itself is amazing - beautiful Atlantic waves, soft and pale sand across a very wide beach and runs 6km long. The only disappointment, but as I understand it, it is soon to be resolved is the Matalascanas town. It is very run-down and offers very few facilities with an awful funfair (in hgih season) right next to the beach. The shops and grocery facilities is almost nil and those they do have are old and run down. However, the beach itself is worth the visit and Hotel Victoria will make you feel extremely welcome. Don't forget to check with the local town planning department when the works to the town will be completed because it is expected to change the look of the paseo etc. The council have 40 million Euros to spend on the area with a chunk of 4 million to spend on the beachside areas and buildings.
