We booked through jet2/ solmar villas who I believe are the new owners 

This villa is lovely with everything you’d need for a family holiday we were  5 adults & two children .. air con is good 
The pool is big enough for a decent play /splash about although I’m 5ft 2 & couldn’t touch the bottom .. we did pay £200 extra for a week to have it heated which we weren’t aware of at the time of booking only realised after reading the small print & you must use the cover to keep the heat in when not in use also there’s a little ramp beside of pool which is slippy. 

The villi is huge & was clean on arrival  with comfortable beds & a well equipped kitchen the maids who were so friendly came & cleaned on our 3rd day with fresh towels 
The barbecue area is great ( you need to buy your own briquettes) it’s 
A 10 min walk to the main strip too & there’s a spar shop nearby also

Booked through Solmar Villa Holidays. Our first time for a villa holiday and loved it. The information and communication from Solmar was excellent every detail was covered. The villa was beautiful. Clean, spacious, and well equipped for 8 people. It had every amenity required. A 5-10 minute walk from the main vibrant town, the villa was an oasis of calm in a quiet area which was gated and secure. The heated pool was a bonus with plenty of room outside to sunbathe in private without being overlooked. All in all a perfect, relaxing holiday.

I was a bit apprehensive after seeing these reviews but i was pleasantly surprised with the villa. 7 of us stayed in November and neither of us have any complaints re the villa. The villa is spacious, the pool albeit a bit cold in November was lovely and kitchen/bathroom well equipped. The decor maybe a little dated but the villa was very clean and friendly cleaners attended half way through the week to clean bathrooms, change bedding and towels etc. 

The front of the villa has a “waste land” which you can walk over where locals do walk their dogs and leave dog mess but you can follow the path round this area which would only add 2 minutes onto your journey to avoid. 

The owner of the villa lives next door, he introduced himself at the beginning of the holiday but kept himself away during but I find that would be handy if we were to have any issues. There is also a dog which barks if anyone approaches the villa (this doesn’t happen often as it’s in a quiet area) but this made me feel a lot safer. 

The villa is a 5 minute walk from the closest Spar shop and 10 minutes to the main strip of restaurants and bars. 

I would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again.  I don’t have many photos of the villa which we aren’t in but have uploaded the ones I can :)

Booked through Solmar villas. Stayed here for a week as an adult family of 4. Agree with previous review that pictures don't do this villa justice. It is much bigger than it looks. Beds were comfy, all bedrooms air-conditioned which gave a comfortable nights sleep. Living room could do with a fan at least as no air-conditioning so we had to leave the doors shut. The pool was fine to cool off in, not huge but enough for 4 of us. Needed a bit of a clean around the tiles. The kitchen could do with another set of crockery as you'd struggle if there were 8 people. The location is good, about a 10 minute walk to the main strip. Taxis in PDC are very good value so we took one to Lidl and back at a total cost of €8 as we didn't need to hire a car. Also worth taking a card for the taxi company as we called a taxi a few times when we wanted to go further down the strip or it was way too hot for the walk. A lovely villa which suited our family of 4.

Rented through James Villas, the pictures of this villa do not do it justice.Very large space for 8 people with air con in all bedrooms which this week has been a necessity. Plenty of outside space to spread out and table tennis kept people occupied. The pool is big enough to cool off in and the villa is on a row of other villas which appear to be residential, so felt safe to leave when going out. 10 minute walk to town and good facilities for cooking when you want to stay in. Only downside was outside lights are on a timer and  are only on between 2100and 0030 hours. Would happily hire again and cost was very reasonable for a rental of its size and spec.

First villa holiday for us. When we arrived we were overwhelmed with how big the villa was. The pics we had seen hadn't done it justice. It was clean and very nice. There was only 3 off us but there will be loads of room for 8 people. The only place we're you would be disappointed for room is the pool but not everyone likes a swim.

          Outside space.
         Cleaners/ housekeeping came twice in a 10 night stay.
As stated by James Villas a hair drier would be provided which wasn't in the villa when we arrived so my husband went next door to ask about it, they give us one straight away. No problems.      
Checked in at 11:30am as early flight, no problems with that. 

Cons: Pool size for larger groups.
            Place of plug sockets. ( take an extention).
           Cleanliness of pool. I cleaned the inside tiles were the water level was and within a couple of hours they were dirty again. The pool definitely needs a good clean out. 
     The owners living in the villa next door. Manual likes to come in the villa to water the small garden area at 8:30am which he needs to avoid doing. His wife likes sweeping up outside the villa every morning.
Cleaners had taken our tea towel with the other towels and didn't return it so hide your towels. 
 We loved are evening walks to the main strip of bars and restaurants, had some great nights in spoons, golden cocktails etc. 
This holiday will certainly be a memorable one for us! Our daughter can now swim independently and this villa will definitely want us to book another. No worry about getting a sunbed or having your own space.

Manchester Airport was fine, heard lots of problems from others but nothing for us, thanks Ryanair. 😊

First Villa holiday and loved it! 

Brilliant villa

Nice sized accommodation for 8. Kitchen not equipped for 8, 6 plates, no large glasses or tumblers at all! Fridge door fell off, owner tried to make us wait for 2 days for new fridge when we have young child who needs milk. Poor communication from James Villas who promised to visit the next day and didn’t. Phone call from James Villas to my brother (who has learning difficulties) and interrogated about people who are staying in villa when my partner who has holiday in same resort is here all the time. CCTV camera in accommodation, felt we were being watched without our permission. Shocked by treatment after price paid for holiday!

Could be better...

We booked a holiday last minute and decided on a villa as we needed 3 bedrooms because we have a teenage daughter and son who would not want to share.  As it was so last minute we thought it was worth paying the extra to book a James Villa as we expected from the adverts that this would ensure the villa to be of a high standard.  

This villa is very open to passers by looking in and overlooks a huge piece of waste ground where everyone walks their dogs and leave the dogs mess.  

The furnishings are cheap and very worn and the beds were so uncomfortable we hardly slept.  

Although it has 4 bedrooms and can sleep 8 there were only 6 dinner plates and one of these had a crack in it ingrained with dirt.  In fact there was not 8 of anything in the villa.  

We were also surprised that there was no kind of welcome pack from James Villas although the villa owners left washing up liquid and a dishcloth and tea towel.  The sheets were cheap and scratchy and the towels thin and worn. 

The pool was tiny and in an enclosed area with not enough room for the sun beds and on the day we arrived the owner was doing building work by the pool enclosing the pump and filter in an ugly grey 7foot concrete box.

Although it stated on the advert that there was a fan in every room, on arrival there were only 2 although the owner did drop off 2 more after we complained.

It was so horrible we asked if there were any free villas that we could move to and were even happy to pay more but unfortunately there was nothing available.  Very disappointed that this was such a waste of money.
