The Samitier Abbey is one of the most delicious hotels I ever been. Small, full of character, and unpretentious furniture faithful to its history. The traditional Spanish cuisine with family recipes is mastered by its owners Raquel Martínez and Arturo Gastón, also a gastronomic critic. I remember when they opened the door and candles were all over the 17th century stone building. The delicious rosé wine in flutes crystal glasses sitting in the charming garden while sunset. Next day we discovered that the Samitier Abbey had also incredible sites. We walked up the hill to found a hermitage, ruins of a castle and the amazing views of a reservoir. I would love to repeat the experience.
