Petit Palace Marqués Santa Ana

We have just had a lovely 4 night stay in this hotel. Rooms are very clean, beds are very comfy. Shower was great. Roof top terrace if you choose to sunbath. Very quite hotel at night as it is located is down a side street so no passing traffic. Great value for money. Breakfast was included in our stay, Fany was very hard working and remembered our room number each day which was nice. Free coffee & water available in a separate side room. Hotel staff were all very helpful. We were given a map of the area but being in Central Seville everything was just a few minutes walk away. Great location to see everything. We visited the Plaza de Espana which is a must. Hired Kayaks locally which was better value than the boat cruise and more fun. Royal Alcazar was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. Very expensive to get in and we thought the grounds were a little unkept and messy. There is a cafe on site which is really expensive too (5.50 euros for two bottles of water). Lots of Tapas bars if you like Tapas. Try off the square, lots of bars on that street with canopy's spraying water mist to cool you down if sitting outside. Its was 44degs so that was really welcome. The only down side to our stay unfortunately was the airport taxi ripped us off. Price should be about 25 euros but the taxi guy decided to charge us 75 euros! It was too late when we entered the hotel and told reception staff who were disgusted by him. It wasn't a very good first impression of this city but it's not the hotels fault at all. Just be careful if booking a taxi. The Cathedral is a beautiful building, we didn't go inside but its amazing to see. Lots of horse & cart taxis just on the square, glad to say the horses were all treated very well in that heat. Overall, we really enjoyed this beautiful city and will defo visit again.
