This is are nice hotel.
Clean and friendly staf. We arrived and got a really nice room. Water was running in the toilet, told the staf, and 30 min. Later it was fixed.
Nice soft beds in sep. Bedroom.
Topfloor gives ovean view.
We will come back again.

We booked this apartment for a week. The only thing what comes in mind is: ‘wow’. The apartment is recently renovated and and can no longer be compared with the old photos that are here on tripadvisor. In my opinion they did a good job with replacing the tennis court for more ‘chill’ area. The pool was not big, but was perfect for a lovely cooling down dive. 

The apartment was clean, spacious and brand new. Everything worked fine and there was enough equipement to cook a nice diner. There is no airconditioning, but a ceiling fan was available. Only in the bedroom was the fan a bit noisy, but when having the fan on the first stand it was OK!

Five times a week there is a cleaning service. You get new towels and even your cutlery will be cleaned.

If you have a night flight, it is possible to shower after your check out. Thanks to Luis (probably the owner) we get new towels to shower so that our own towels would be dry in our luggage. Good service at all! I would totally recommend this apartment!

Stayed there again from 11th March to the 18th, was due to stay to the 21st but the holiday was cut short to get an earlier rescue flight back to the UK. 

Gran Canaria is now in lockdown so impossible to get in but when this area opens up again this is a really nicely located and clean place to stay. 

The receptionists was particularly helpful with my shuttle transfer changes and bus alternatives even making sure I got on the right bus with the right money (as possibly money was not going to be accepted). 

Maybe a little old fashion decor but everything works, good rooms, lots of hot water and nice pool.

Positive: Cleaning service was everyday and lady who made it was really nice. Nice bathroom with rain shower and fully equipped kitchen. Ocean view from balcony on 2nd floor was stunning. A lot of plants and palms around the property.

Negative: Swimming pool was closed for main part of our stay (more less week), cause of maintenance issue. Apartments could have hairdryer and it would be more convenient if there is at least one shared washing machine provided in the property. Street is noisy (a lot of loud buses), but bedroom windows are on another side, so it’s not that bad.

Africana Apartments is really well located, very close to local buses if you want to explore local area. Renting a car is also an option if you want to travel a bit further away - especially since a lot of great attractions are under 30 minutes drive - Sioux City, the sand Dunes etc.

The apartment itself has everything you need for the price range, two minor suggestions would be that the room did not have electric kettle and unusually there were very few power sockets.
I was positively suprised that the apartment was cleaned very often.

There is a decently sized pool as well as tennis court - both seemed to be kept in working order.
The whole site is locked at all times, you get your own key to get in/out so this makes it feel like a very secure place.

Stayed as a solo traveller last week for a week.

Location is very good only 10 mins from the beach and big bar/ restaurant area. I stayed on the 3rd floor with a good size twin bedded bedroom with lots of storage. Living area also big with adequate kitchen facilities. Again, good sized bathroom with double modern  shower. Everything is pretty basic and bit dated but everything one needs and very clean. Regular cleaning and change of towels. 

South facing balcony is good size and get the sun from the morning all day. Two plastic chairs and table. 

The only downside is that Madrid Ave can be noisy with traffic as this is a main road but this did not impact me.

Was contacted by reception prior to arrival to make sure they were available upon my arrival and were helpful throughout.

I would stay again although there are other similar places to stay (ie. Montemayor apartment rooms are bit more modern) so a lot depends on room price.

Have just returned from a fantastic 4 night back. Apartment was basic but very clean and the cleaning lady was very friendly. Fantastic location too. Only slight negative was no air conditioning or even a fan available so had to leave windows and door open and the road was quite busy. Pool was great and we had the pool and area to ourselves most of the time! Manager was very amicable when we first arrived but didn't see him again during our stay. Great place though and will definitely go back.

The room was surprisingly clean and well kept, every room has a balcony with clothes line, we were lucky enough to get one overlooking the sea. Pool onsite which gets sun for most of the day and there's a resident cat. Only reason I haven't given this an excellent review is the outside gate lock needs replacing - you have to get used to the knack of opening it, the exterior looks a bit run-down, could do with power sockets in the bedroom - there were only two, one in the bathroom and one in the corner of the kitchen, and the management is not around to help enough. Still, a quiet cheap place very close to the sea.

Africana Apartments are a nice choice in Playa del Ingles. Their location is very good, they were bit old but pretty clean, the wi-fi was working fine and they also have a small pool in the back. Considering they offer a reasonable price, their value is pretty high and I would recommend them.
