Hotel Roc Boccaccio

A lovely stay at this wonderful hotel. The room was small but adequate and incredibly clean. A powerful shower with a really comfortable bed. Balconies included in all rooms and we opted for the pool view. The food was nice. A lovely variation. The pistachio cream for the pancakes was delicious! Lots of variation and plenty of options. There was always pizza, chips etc for fussier eats or those preferring the fast food element. Only on one night did we opt to eat out as there but this was due to the veal! All of the other nights included delicious options such as a Chinese themed night, a nacho stand, fresh steaks, fish options and plenty of salad, bread, cheeses etc. The desserts included a huge variety and these were tasty- not the bland taste some cakes can have at all inclusives. There were two bars - the pool bar during the day had a token system. These wooden tokens were given on arrival. There were lots of cocktails included as part of the AI- I'd highly recommend the strawberry mojito. The coffee was very poor- aside from this, a lovely drink selection including wine and beer with your lunch and evening meals.. you go up and help yourself to these. The evening bar opens about half 6. Staff are friendly and polite and the queues never exceeded a few people. There is a bar on the beach but we never managed to find this so perhaps this could be better advertised to guests. The best part...The entertainment was excellent..we saw some of our best shows at this hotel. Such talent! The acrobats, Stars in the Night band were out of this world. So brilliant! The quizzes and karaoke via QR code were fun and had a nice modern touch. The entertainment team work really hard and are really friendly but never too much. Daily darts, shuffle board, archery, aqua aerobics, bingo and water polo on offer. The kids were entertained separately which I really liked and I think this both provided quality time for the children but also some relaxation for parents. A huge thank you to the staff who made our stay so much fun! Finally the pool, our only slight downside was it was small. Sunbeds do start to go early but we went down at 10am and 11am some days and still managed to find out. Plenty of people use the beach too so the pool never felt overwhelming. Don't let the smaller pool put you off as the warm staff and lovely feel to this hotel makes this such a minor issue. Alcudia is a lovely place to visit and this hotel proves to be one of the best in the area. There are a large number of restaurants, bars, arcades and shops just a few minutes walk away. The area is very family friendly and there is lots to see outside the hotel. The port is about twenty minutes away and I'd recommend a visit to the Old Town. A wonderful stay made special but this incredible hotel. Thank you!
