Ilunion Palmanova Mallorca

My friend and I had a lovely 7-night stay at the Ilonion Hotel Palmanova. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Daniel, the receptionist, who was very welcoming and made the check-in process straightforward. He took the time to answer all our questions and kindly accommodated our request for a twin room instead of a double. We were very satisfied with the condition of our room, finding the beds exceptionally comfortable. The maids did a great job with the daily cleaning, ensuring the room was tidy and fresh towels were provided. We appreciated having the fridge to keep our drinks cold and the ample storage in the wardrobe and bedside tables. The beautiful sea view from the balcony was a wonderful bonus, and we made good use of the chairs and drying rack. Overall, we slept well at night and were not disturbed by unpleasant noise. In the hotel restaurant, we were mostly satisfied with the variety of food on offer. On several evenings, cultural themes like Japanese, Mexican, and Mediterranean added extra variety. However, we were quite disappointed that the profiterole tower and chocolate fountain we had seen online were only available one night out of seven, and there were rarely any donuts or pancakes at breakfast. We also found it was best to arrive early for meals to ensure we had a full selection. For what we paid, we felt the food standard was on par with other hotels we've stayed in, though we still enjoyed our meals and were always able to find something we liked. Regarding other facilities, the hotel has two decent-sized pools, along with a splash pool for children. There were always plenty of sun beds available, and we could get slushies, ice creams, and other treats from the snack bar throughout the day. The hotel's spacious lobby had comfortable seating, which was very convenient on our departure day. We were also grateful to use a courtesy room to securely store our luggage before our scheduled pickup. The hotel is well-situated, just a short five-minute walk from the beach, promenade, and main shopping area in Torrenova. However, its location at the top of a steep hill makes it challenging to access for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Furthermore, guests should be aware that despite its name, the hotel is in the neighboring area of Torrenova, not Palmanova, and requires a 30-minute walk to get to Palmanova. Overall, we had a brilliant stay at the Ilonion Hotel Palmanova and would highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.
