The history in the Gaya is clear. You can feel the history as you walk around. The traditional family feel remains and the staff are attentive, caring and always happy to help or guide the guests. Reception staff are real characters and Salvatore is a charmer 🇮🇹 The rooms are spacious and the balcony is big. Not overly modern but fit with the history of the Hotel. Bathrooms are small but the fittings are of a high quality. Cleaning staff clean everyday and the rooms are always spotless. Breakfast is adequate but maybe a new toaster is required and an additional staff member to keep tables and pots cleared quicker. We booked a refrigerator for the room. These are only adequate for drinks as they don't get very cold. Maybe new ones are required. We look forward to our next stay in the beautiful hotel Gaya.
