70 reviewsThis is a small traditional hotel in a hamlet just outside L'Espluga di Francoli. Our room was a reasonable size with a Juliette balcony ( there are no rooms with full balconies). The shower room was a good size and well appointed. It is all very clean and well managed. The restaurant serves excellent food. We were on half board and as such the evening meal for us was a selection of dishes from the main menu. Most mornings the breakfast ( a good selection and nicely presented) was served on the terrace which overlooks the garden and views of distant hills.The owners were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. We stayed at Masia del Cadet for a week which gave us the opportunity to explore the attractive countryside, local towns and sights. The hotel is half a mile from the Poblet monastery which is on La Ruta del Cister, a group of 3 Cistercian monasteries. There are the caves and wineries in L'Espluga and also walks through vineyards and the hillsides. In all a pleasant and interesting area.
