Rural Ocell Francolí

This cosy little hotel is right in the centre of town. It is the old village inn (fonda) which was restored and modernised 15 years ago by Rafa and his wife, who still run it today. There are 12 rooms, 5 of which have a balcony facing the square. Nice confortable rooms with good firm beds and good heating in the winter. No elevator. The breakfast is excellent: large slices of toasted Catalan bread, with tomatoes and garlic Catalan style, plus cheese, cured ham, jam etc., fresh orange juice and coffe or tea. Their restaurant is the best in town, so consider going for media pensión (half board). The restaurant gets busy, so you will need to let Rafa know when you want to have your meals. Free wi-fi, although the strength of the signal varies from room to room - there is a little lounge room on the 1st floor where the wi-fi signal is strongest.
