Hotel Montero

We arrived two hours early but were welcomed, checked in and shown our room by the incredibly hard working owner. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely quiet room at the back with views to the hills, plenty of wardrobe space, comfortable twin beds and a recently refurbished high quality bathroom with nice towels and toiletries to match. Draft Mahon only €3 a pint, an exceptional dinner of three generous courses and complimentary tapas starters all for €12 and a bottle of decent red €7. Most of the decent restaurants in town are either closed (like many shops and businesses) or not inviting. We were wowed by the quality, value and wish the charming owner every success. A ten minute walk to the town and cathedral.
