Apartamentos Los Patios Playa Macenas

I was a bit worried when I read the latest review of playa Macenas as it was posted just before we travelled. I was very pleasantly relieved - our apartment was beautiful and right next to our parking area - no steps at all! The pools are lovely but too cold to swim in winter though ideal for paddle to cool my feet after a long walk along the nearby trails! The resort itself is so peaceful and literally on the beach with a Chiringuito at the far end for refreshments. Mojacar -only 5 mins away by car (or spectacular coastal path 30 mins walk) is full of restaurants and bars with every taste catered for - no need to eat in although there is a well stocked Mercadona at far end as well! Perhaps latest reviewers were expecting too much but our apartment and facilities were exactly as described. Weather was also great 21c and bright sun the day we left! Will definitely return to explore the several small towns nearby.
