B&B Finca Alegria de la Vida

I decided to escape Marbella this New Year's Eve as fireworks and leaving my hound = trouble!! So I took myself and Scooby-Doo on a little adventure instead.. We needed pet friendly accommodation and being as my hound hates the car I didn't want to venture too far. We googled and came across finca Alegria de la vida, about an hours drive and the owners Bert and Margaret have hounds too so happily welcomed myself and Scooby. So after getting lost only once ,(excellent for me) we arrived at the finca and the welcome Scooby received from his new furry friends made me know instantly I'd made the right decision! His new friends were so enthusiastic in welcoming him they were all trying to hop into the mini to get immediate access to him. He was in doggie heaven! So after a sit down and chat with Bert whilst the dogs all introduced themselves formally you know the way..licking and sniffing various body parts! We were then shown to our room and it was just beautiful, rustic with nice comforts, kettle, hairdryer, tea and coffee etc..and nice little touches even a little present for me. The views from the room are stunning and with the little table and chairs outside you can really take in the vista. I took Scooby and the smallest of his new friends for a long walk in the country side it was so warm and just lovely to be out in the fresh air with the hounds. The scenery is truly stunning. I ate with the owners as an evening meal is an option. for 15 euros for 2 courses I certainly wasn't expecting the amazing meal that Bert cooked... Home made soup and a hearty main course that would satisfy even the hungriest of guests. It was nice to dine with them as both Margaret and Bert are lovely, intelligent people and so easy to get on with... Whilst getting changed for dinner I could not remember a year I had not been out to a party for New Year's Eve so this will be one to remember! So to sum up this place was everything I expected of a county escape and a little bit more.
