A major positive is the location.The accommodation is right in the centre of the old town with the castle, Picasso Museum and Cathedral very close by. I stayed in a single room and was given three keys (one for the front door, one for the hallway entrance to the group of rooms and another for the actual room I was staying in). The place feels like a hostel in that you have a shared bathroom and kitchen. The fittings are basic but as expected for the price I paid. The bathroom with a bath and overhead shower was spacious and clean. I didn't expect a kitchen and it was a nice surprise. Although basic and showing signs of wear, it had all the things I need to quick a quick meal (tall fridge, two ring hob, microwave and there was even a washing machine). There was a table and two stools at one end of the kitchen as well. Inside the cupboards, there were plates, bowls, and saucepans and cutlery was also provided. The kitchen backs on to a lovely secluded courtyard patio (surrounded on all sides by buildings) and with a table and chairs. The single room I stayed in was small was small, but it didn't feel cramped. There was a large window looking out onto the patio. It was decorated with terracotta tiled floors and white floors, TV on the wall, and a large fitted wardrobe. The bed was OK and I found it comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. No outside noise could be heard during my stay (as the street is quiet and all the neighbouring ones are pedestrianised - ie, no traffic). Reception is not manned all the time during the day or night. The lady at reception was not there when I arrived as I would have expected but turned up a couple of minutes later. But the process of checking in was quick and simple and she was nice to deal with and spoke good English. For checking out I posted the key through the letter box on exiting. Overall, the accommodation was simply furnished. There is nothing here to wow you, but that that is not what this place is about. For the price bracket,it attracts the budget traveller. Everything was basic but clean and for the location and the added facilities (eg, separate nearby shared kitchen, housekeeping and patio eating area) I think it offers very good value for money. It fulfilled what I wanted personally from a budget minded room in the old town, so I would recommend it.
