Really outdated and with patch repairs as you see them repaired with a great variety of materials, the room too small though quite clean, the annoying thing is to feel watched at all times since the owners live on the site and are always watching your entrance or exit.

Very antiquated.

It's a good option for a couple of days if you need to stay overnight. Among the advantages of  cheap, very clean, in the very center of the city, reservation without prepayment, there is heating. The staff is polite, although they don't speak English, but they have enough knowledge of a few words in Spanish and gestures. Of the features  calling at the entrance to the floor, it wasn't a problem for me.

All right, clean and in the middle.

I have to say that I was very good with my princess, the room was clean and quiet every day and it was cleaned and the owners are very discreet. You don't speak Italian but you can understand it very well.

A wonderful vacation in Madrid

A friend and I spent the weekend looking at the photos and assuming that it was outdated but not so much.In the room the toilet was separated from the shower and the bathroom (very uncomfortable and rare), the perches were one (all different and convenient).The surveillance that had been excessive and even intimidating, the lady was controlling everything all the time, it looked like a prison in terms of control.A friend came to leave some things in the room and the lady started yelling at us and talking about very bad manners when it had been a simple misunderstanding and we had to pay 30€ more.

I don't wish it on anyone.

Don't waste your time or money on this place. Dirty (along with the towels we find, which you have to fight to change), old, noisy, un-air conditioned, wifi not working, rooms a furnace and above the owners, an elderly couple, live there with you, let's say your house is one of the doors of the hallway. The lady of the house is the lady of the place, sitting on her couch watching who enters and leaves and gets into your life.

The worst I've ever visited.

The owner asks if you're going to be late or the owner's wife asks if you can't wait for a visit because you don't have a waiting room because in a hostel according to the rules, a family member or friend can wait outside. We went and handed him the key to the owner, she started screaming at us worse than an an, and that's why nobody can be treated that way by saying we didn't hand him the keys, I'm a tripadvisor client who travels 4 times a year and why I don't feel supported because I'm almost beaten by a man who is the son and should be investigated by the authorities, a hotel can be abused psychological and physical abuse.

Tripadvisor deleted my post about this hostel that shouldn't exist.

Hostal located a few hundred meters from Plaza del Sol, and close to metro station. It is a large apartment, located in an old building, served by an elevator. Small rooms, equipped with small flat screen TV. Family management is courteous and available, careful cleaning. No restaurant service available. Keys to the door and the room are delivered for the duration of the stay.

A boarding house in an excellent location for visiting Madrid

The hotel is located in a very good area, right next to the entrance of the Tirso de Molina metro and a short distance from the Plaza del Sol. It is surrounded by shops, cafes, bars, etc., although it is also not in one of the busiest streets. It is a third floor with a very narrow elevator. Our room was very small, with just space for bed, closet and a mescal. The bathroom was very small, but the good thing is that it had a receiver. The worst thing about the hostel is the noise, and not precisely coming from the street. The owners are talking in voices, the hostel's bell rings as if it were ringing inside our room and also the phone, not to mention that they were listening to the conversations of the room that was in the Endos.

It's very noisy.

The room is spacious, a small bathroom, very well equipped, and above all everything is very clean, a large comfortable bed, and a nice little balcony.

The dream

Comfortable bed, 3 floors with elevator, clean, in the center of Madrid near Plaza Mayor and comfortable subway. It looked perfect. Not at all noisy even though the windows were not perfectly closed. We were there in early November. First day: there was no hot water. Second day: there was no water (they provided us with snacks). Third day: hot and cold water. Fourth and last day: we woke up out of schedule to catch the plane early in the morning and at 6:30 a.m. we were both able to take a decent shower. I wouldn't recommend it.
