Staff were very friendly even though I did not speak Spanish well. It is about a 30 minute Metro ride to the center of Madrid, but away from the tourist crowds and close to the Chamartín station where I needed to catch my onward train to Vigo. On the last day I decided to try their breakfast buffet, which had freshly made coffee, nice pastries, fruit, and juice. I was on the first floor, which was above the ground level on the street-side, but the neighborhood is fairly quiet. All in all it was a good stay and I would recommend it for travelers who have similar needs.
