Pensión Borrás

We booked this Pension for 3 nights for our arrival in Girona because of its location and cost . We got the bus 500 from the airport to the bus station and then we walked from there.It was about a 20 minute walk. Reception times were given as between 1 and 9.30pm. and we were delighted to find a very friendly and welcoming lady at reception. We had booked a room with shared bathroom and when we saw it we were very pleased. Very clean ,spotless with clean linen and daily clean .We found the shared bathroom O.K but if you have to get up in the night it would be better to book room with private bathroom as it is a bit of a maze to get to the bathroom. On our next visit we did book the room with private bathroom again very clean great shower with soap and shampoo provided and fresh towels daily and it was only a little extra in cost but as we had an early departure well worth it. Again please note the reception times because outwith these times there is no staff there . There is only Spanish and Catalan spoken. We were very happy with the location as there were so many cafes and restaurants the historic centre the rail and bus station within walking distance. There is building work being done in this lovely old building just now an elevator is being installed so out in the central staircase men start work at 8am and work daytime .It didn’t affect us at all.
