Owner couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. Great location for heading on the Camino. We arrived late on the 13th July. Spotless, quiet and comfy.she also gave directions for restaurants and recommended some too.

This was our first resting place on the Camino, while it was not the best, our nights stay gave us no reason to complain either.We were a group of 19 and arranged to be picked up at the airport by bus, and dropped straight to Sarria. As our bus was pulling away outside the hostel, I certainly had a moment of real fear, when nobody answered the buzzer, and there didn't seem to be any lights on. Eventually we roused the manager and she was very helpful in assigning the rooms, stamping all the passports, and showing us where to get dinner, and breakfast the next morning.
It was clean, comfortable, well located, and everyone in our group was very satisfied with the standard of accommodation. It might not have the wow factor,but  it was still a very pleasant stay, our cheapest along the way !!!

It was difficult to find a resting place on our Saint James's Way. Luckily we found this hostel in the city center not far from everything.  It is located next to a river and it is a 4-storey building which has been recently renewed to transform it into a hostel or inn.  The front door is always locked so you have to ring the buzzer to get in.  The room we had was all right as so was the bathroom.  We also had  the use of a terrace with a table and some chairs where we had our own supper under the stars.  We could also do our laundry and hang the clothes out to dry.  The best thing of all was the price. We paid 35€ for a double room en-suite in August!  Ok, the establishment won't stay in our thoughts for the rest of our lives but what we paid will.

Pleasant start on the Camino.

Nice place, better price

Excellent start to Camino!

That was the number one complaint.  The second was that there was no character to the place.  I'll grant that we did see the owner was sick when we checked in (didn't she have a back-up so we wouldn't have had to worry about caching her bug?), but, even though new and somewhat nice, the place had a cold feel to it.  We also had to walk into town to get our continental breakfast.  I would not stay here again!

Bed springs in the back!!

This is the Pension Blasones - there is also an Albergue Blasones, owned by the same people. We - and our bags - went to the Albergue first, and the staff very kindly drove us to the Pension. It was clean and comfortable, but there's an nightclub nearby, so a little noisy.

Comfortable pension in Sarria

This provides basic lodging near the river.The rooms are clean and it is close to the Camino.  It isn’t bad, just don’t go with high expectations. The beds are not very comfortable and the rooms are quite basic.
