Pazo De Ludeiro

The nice country house is located very far from the Camino way but they can send a taxi to pick you up. There is no alternative to get food from the town as it's a quite a distance, so you have are forced to eat there and their menu is like Eu 35 to Eu40. I mean it's good, and Monica gave you a good service. Rooms are nice!

Pazo de Ludeiro was one of the best stops during el Camino De Santiago.  The place is spectacular, the food is absolutely delicious and the best part is how they make you feel at home ♥️  
Las amigas de Mexico 

Great place to relax, have a great meal, drink a glass of wine, spend the night and get away from the Camino for a little while. Very friendly owner and staff. Beautiful gardens, outdoor swing and great wine food. The service is really great, and it's approximately 10k from Ventas de Narón. My friend and I really enjoyed it. 

Great hotel to stay after a difficult walk from portomarin to palas de rei. Nice place to relax not to mention the great superb dinner, grilled rabbit, beef, pork ribs  chicken healthy salad and delicious sweet tiramisu and leche flan.nice room first time to see a heater on the floor.  Shame we will stay here for only one night

From the moment Maria our host opened the door to our suite, we knew we were in for something special. Our room was beautifully appointed, clean & quaint. We took a lovely stroll in the gardens, the veggie patch is a sight to behold - I have never seen such large vegetables!! Helped ourselves to an apple from the orchard. Evening dinner was scrumptious- the king prawns yummy! And once again, breakfast in the morning prepared by Maria - more than sufficient. Maria - we tip our hats to you - you are doing a fine job and exemplify everything good hospitality should be.

A stop on my Camino de Santiago  on the 3er day of my pilgrim walk supposed to be in  a beautiful Hotel named Casa Roan, located 5 miles from the main road of Palas de Rei; something wrong was at the reservation and the place was complete but before I got there the owner Jose already managed to look for a place for me to stay that night under the same category. WELL, I was so lucky, because that change of hotel was a gift for me ; PAZO DE LUDEIRO has everything you want to have in a beautiful and well maintained Hotel, it felt like home to me when Monica welcome me; she is a perfect host and a beautiful human being, she prepared a delicious breakfast very early for me because the cooking team won't start the day until 8 am, and I was leaving to continue my Camino much earlier , she really went out the way to  take care of every detail that made me feel as the Queen on her palace. The room sparkle clean with a relaxed view. SUPERIOR Food for dinner and much more for my special breakfast

A change that was a gift for me.

Best stop in Galicia 

This place was shockingly bad. I have no idea how it earned a 4.5 star review. Perhaps things have gone downhill recently, as the most recent positive review is from 7+ months ago. But I wish I had stayed in the hotel described by other reviewers.

We were optimistic when we arrived at the hotel. From the outside, the property was beautiful and we were greeted warmly. There was a party going on at the hotel, but we were assured the guests would be on their way shortly and that things would quiet down by 8pm.

We were shown two rooms to choose from. Both smelled musty, and had a very strong chemical smell (we actually looked around to see if we could find an air freshener as the smell was almost making us sick). The TV was jerry-rigged with a million different wires and outlets and was likely a fire hazard. Needless to say, it didn't work.

Dinner was at 7:00. We arrived at the dining room at 6:55, but were kicked out and told to wait outside for 5 minutes. We were the only diners, but the staff insisted on playing the football match on TV at full volume while we ate.

Not surprisingly, the party guests stayed long past 8pm, and music blared until 10pm when we finally asked for it to be turned down.

We weren't looking for perfection, but we were definitely hoping for clean rooms, good food, and good service, and we got none of the above. Save your money and stay in an albergue closer to the Camino.
