Muiño das Cañotas

This is a great place to base yourself when exploring the spectacular Rias Altas. This historic watermill which has been nicely restored is set in a lovely rural setting on the edge of Carino. Rooms were comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. Carino is not a particularly attractive town but Muino das Canotas feels a million miles away. But the point is that Carino is centrally located on the Rias Altas. The breakfast was included in the price and was good. I strongly recommend you eat dinner at Muino das Canotas. There are only a few restaurants in Carino and they are very ordinary. The food at Muino was like tasty home style cooking and you can also drink some excellent Galician wines. Dinner is very reasonably priced. It's a set menu that changes daily. But you need to let them know in advance if you want to eat at the guest house. After eating a disappointing meal in town on our first night, we had the rest of our meals at Muino. If we had known about the limited and poor eating options in town we would have rang in advance of our arrival to book a table for the first night. Thank you for a lovely stay.
